Chapter 5

Seulgi POV: a week later.

Seulgi was at the building cafeteria since she had some time left before her next schedule. Since she had to wait for her turn for the make-up, she decided to eat before the other members. "Eating alone is not a big deal, is it? It's just embarrassing. Yeah, really embarrassing. Especially when the staff members look at you like that." she said while trying to eat the bitter soup. She started to blush. "I can't. This is too much. I will eat in the car or after the show." She stood up and someone called her name. It was Chan Yeol and some of the other EXO members.

Chan Yeol: Do you want to eat with us, Kumdoori?
Seulgi: Can I?
Lay: Of course!

"It's way better than to eat alone... Even if i'm uncomfortable around everyone."

Se Hun sadly: Where are the other members?
Seulgi: Ah, they are doing their make-up.
Baek Hyun: So you're eating alone... Kkaebsong~
Seulgi blushing: Yeah, it's a little bit embarrassing.
Chan Yeol: Don't worry, it also happened to Oppa once.
Kai: Oppa? Why would she call you oppa? Did he ask you?
Seulgi shyly: No... Well, yes.
Kai: Don't call him oppa.
Lay: Why can't she? They are close.
Baek Hyun with a smirk: Yeah, why do you care Kim Jong In?
Kai: We-we have fans, they could misunderstand.
Chan Yeol: That's right. Nevermind then, Kumdoori.
Kai: You can forget the Gomdoori too.
Baek Hyun: Don't be too greedy, Kai.
Lay: Seulgi, do you even understand what we're talking about?
Seulgi: Kind of, ahahaha.
D.O: She probably doesn't.
Chan Yeol: In summary, it's just Kai being jea-
Kai putting his hand on Chan Yeol's mouth: Why are you being like this, hyung?!!!

Seulgi was confused and it was clearly written on her face. Because of her innocence, everyone laughed except her and Kai. While they were eating, Seulgi became more and more used to their jokes and wasn't as shy as she was at the beginning.

Chan Yeol: Shall we go? The manager is probably waiting for us.
D.O taking his plate: Yeah, let's go.
Lay: You're not coming, Seulgi?
Seulgi: Ah, I still have some time left. Like 5 mins.
Baek Hyun: Let's talk more next time.
Seulgi watching them leave: Yes.
Chan Yeol: Aren't you coming Kai?
Kai: I will wait with her.
Seulgi: Seriously? You can?
Kai with a smile: The manager can wait a little bit.
Seulgi: But, I don't wan't you to be late because of me, just go.
Kai: I want to stay here, with you.

Seulgi blushed. The atmosphere was pretty awkward but she was still so happy to spend time with him. "He's no nice... He doesn't mind being yelled at for waiting with me~"

Kai: I think we have some things in common, no?
Seulgi: Really? Like what?
Kai: I heard you did ballet.
Seulgi: Oh! That's right, you did too. Other than that, hum... do you like ice cream?

"Omg, I should act like I don't know. If he knew that I watched every variety show he appeared in, he would think i'm a crazy fan. Ok, I didn't watch every one of them, but I know too much to ask him about what we have in common."

Kai: Yes I do. I prefer choco-mint.
Seulgi: Really?! Me too.
Kai: Hum? Do you like animals?
Seulgi (remembering about his dogs): Yes, I do. Do you like coffee?
Kai: No. I can't stand it, I think it tastes like poison.
Seulgi whispering sadly: I know...
Kai: What?
Seulgi: I like it, unfortunately. We will probably never meet in a cafe, ahahaha.
Kai smiling: I could make an effort. ...Or drink something else.

Seulgi smiled back. "So Kai would change his opinion on coffee for me...? Wait. He probably meant that for everybody. Don't misunderstand. He doesn't like you, he's only being nice. He's only being nice." She checked the time and gasped.

Kai: What?
Seulgi: I need to go. Five minutes passed so quickly...
Kai: Then let's meet later, if you're not too tired.
Seulgi with a big smile: Really? Fine, let's do that. Can I do the pinky swear?
Kai laughing: You do that?
Seulgi: Don't laugh! I don't usually do it, but if it's something precious, I do it.
Kai: Something precious...
Seulgi: I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. That's so embarrassing.

Kai took her hand and crossed his pinky with hers. She smiled.

Kai: Let's do it.
They did the pinky swear and Seulgi blushed.

Seulgi waving at him with a shy smile: I should really get going... See you later.
Kai: Yeah, later.

He stood up and left the cafeteria with big smile.

Kai POV:
"How can she be so cute?! And her hand was so small and soft... What will I do if I really fall for her?" he said while going in the car.

Se Hun: How was it Casanova?
Kai: What are you talking about, idiot?
Se Hun: You're the idiot to think that we didn't see you watching her all along at the cafeteria.
Kai: Huh? I wasn't watching her.
Baek Hyun: Oh yes you were.
Se Hun: And every time you see her, you smile. EVEN WHEN SHE'S NOT LOOKING AT YOU. Are you and idiot falling in love for the first time?
Kai: I alrealdy had a girlfriend.
D.O: I thought I was the only one who realized.
Chan Yeol: We have another idiot here.
D.O: Ya, Chan Yeol, watch your mouth.
Su Ho: What are you talking about guys?
Xiu Min: Kai is apparently in love with some Red Velvet chick.
Kai: She has a name! And it's Seulgi.
Su Ho: Gomdoori?
Baek Hyun: So you admit it?!
Kai: No! Ahh! Why are you being like this? I just spent some time with her and i'm considered in love.
Se Hun: You spend a lot of time with me but you don't seem to like me.
Kai: That's right, I hate you Oh Se Hun. Look what you did.
Se Hun: Oh~ My heart just shattered. Kidding, I only need Irene noona in my life.
Tao: Stand back, you worm. All Red Velvet members love me.
Su Ho: Shut up, will you?
Kai: That's right, they all love you. And you love them all.
