Chapter 6

Like they promised each other, Kai and Seulgi met after their schedule that day. The thing is their little midnight meeting became an habit. Every time they had some time, they met. They chose to meet at their favorite place: the practice room. But what could they do in the practice room? Most of the time, they sat on the floor and talked but they also danced together. Seulgi watched him dance "Growl", "Overdose", "Playboy", "El Dorado", etc. and she fell deeper in love everytime he moved. Kai noticed Seulgi watching him intensely, but he never said anything. Until he thought that she was maybe trying to learn the dance.

Kai while stopping the music: Do you want to try?
Seulgi was completly elsewhere: Huh...? Me?! How?
Kai: Well, you were watching, and it's not like you can't dance. You said you were the center for the girls when we were training.
Seulgi: Yeah but they made us do easier dances.
Kai: Just do it. I will help you if you fail.
Seulgi while doing a ponytail: If I fail, it's only gonna be funny. For you.
Kai: Don't worry.

Kai put the music on again for "Overdose" and Seulgi looked a little bit nervous while they could listen to the "warning, warning, warning, warning...". And it started. Since she used to watch him intensely and since Kai was a practice mania and repeated the same moves until they were almost perfect, she probably saw this dance a hundred times. They danced together, both focused on every movement, every beat.

The music ended and Seulgi sat down heavily.

Seulgi while panting: How can you sing this AND dance this much?
Kai: We're a lot.
Seulgi: Still, I wouldn't be able to do it.
Kai: Well, for someone who thought only about failure, you did it perfectly.
Seulgi: I was lost twice.
Kai: You mean when you looked at me? You were doing the good thing, though.
Seulgi with a bright smile: Seriously?
Kai: Yeah. Do you want to try "Growl" now? It's actually easier than "Overdose".
Seulgi: I'm going to take a break. I'm not used to those dances.
Kai: What do you mean? "Happiness" is clearly tiring with all those kicks and jumps.
Seulgi while going to the bench: Probably, but i'm used to it now.
Kai: If you say so.

Kai started to dance. The only difference this time was Seulgi. She wasn't watching him anymore, and he didn't like this change. But it's not like he was going to ask her to watch him, so he kept dancing. What was Seulgi doing if she wasn't watching him? She was scrolling down her phone and laughing at the same time. The more she laughed, the more he became curious. At some point, he was dancing something else and didn't realize until she looked at him.

Seulgi: Are you ok?
Kai: Yes... of course. I was just... trying something new.
Seulgi while going back to her phone: Humm.

She started to laugh again. "What is so funny, huh? Why is she laughing so hard? Is she talking to someone...? Someone who is a guy? Gosh. This is too much, i'm just going to ask."

Kai stopped the music and sat down in front of Seulgi.

Seulgi while blusing: Wh-what is it?
Kai: What are you doing?
Seulgi: Me? Nothing.
Kai: You are so not doing "nothing". I could hear you laugh over the music.
Seulgi: Really? I'm sorry, I didn't intend to. It's just that... it was so funny.
Kai: What is?
Seulgi while hiding her phone behind her: Nothing.
Kai: You just said that "it" was funny and now you say there's nothing? Do you thing I'm stupid?
Seulgi: N-no! Of course not.
Kai: Then show me your phone.
Seulgi: No.
Kai: Just do it.
Seulgi: No way.

Kai came closer. Close enough for their noses to touch. And Seulgi became weak. He was getting too close now. His gaze made her blush extremely but he didn't notice since he was only watching the phone. He got it and sat down, back to where he was a few seconds ago. He smiled while opening the phone (yes, he knew her password because she accidentally revealed it to him at their second meeting, that is Seulgi for you). She was still in chock when he opened the phone.

Seulgi: DON'T!
Kai with a reluctant face: What is this?
Seulgi laughing hard: You mean that you don't find this funny?
Kai: Well, I don't personally find my derp faces funny.
Seulgi pointing at one image: AHAHAHAH, what, AHAHHAHA, where you doing?
Kai: Stop, it was when we danced "History" for the first time.
Seulgi: Ahahahah! But why? I can't breathe, this is too much.
Kai: I was at the front and we have to shake a lot in this dance. And one fan caught me.
Seulgi: I should make this my background.
Kai: There are so many better pictures of me... stop it before I...
Seulgi: Before what? You won't find any derp faces of me. Even if you look for it.
Kai: How would you know?
Seulgi: I already did.
Kai: Wahh, you even google your own name...
Seulgi: Don't laugh.
Kai: I'm not judging you.
Seulgi: You are so judging me.
Kai: Ok, I am.

Seulgi hit him.

Kai: I can't believe you found my derp faces.
Seulgi: Don't worry, everybody knows that you're handsome.
Kai: Does the everybody include you?
Seulgi: Stop.
Kai: What?
Seulgi: You're doing it again.
Kai: What?
Seulgi: You're trying to make me say something cringe-worthy.
Kai: You got me.
Seulgi: Fine, let's play a game.
Kai: Don't tell me you want to know which one of us can say the most cringe-worthy stuff.
Seulgi: Yes.
Kai: No. I can't. You alrealdy win.
Seulgi: Well, i'm not good at this either. Let's say that it's a practice for aegyo. You know that they will ask us to do it.
Kai: A practice you say? I'm so done with aegyo.
Seulgi with teary eyes: Please, Jong-innie~
Kai: Ahhh! See, I can't.
Seulgi: Your turn. You can say anything you want.
Kai in a high-pitched voice: Last night, I had a dream. I dreamed of ghost.
Seulgi: Arghhh! Ok, humm...
Kai: Try to do it like a guy.
Seulgi: *cough* I can only see you, even in my dreams. You are my one and only, so you can't fall in love with other men.
Kai: Gosh, where did you find this one?
Seulgi: I saw it in a drama.
Kai: Stop watching them.
Seulgi: Why? It's romantic. You won't tell stuff like that to the girl you love?
Kai: Well...
Seulgi with a sigh: Nevermind, you would be to embarrassed for that.
Kai: No, I can.
Seulgi: Really?
Kai: Yes.

Kai sat on the bench, and took Seulgi's hand.

Seulgi: W-why? You don't need all this to just say one line.
Kai: Shhh. Can't you feel the atmosphere?

He looked straight in her eyes and made her blush. He intertwined his hand in hers and caressed her cheek.

Kai with a low whisper: You don't need anyone else when i'm here.
Seulgi stuttering: Fine, you win.
Kai: Ssh, i'm not done.

Seulgi was already at her limit, this was too much for her little heart. He came once again closer and whispered in her ear:

Kai: I love you.
