Chapter 3

POV of Kai: Two weeks later.
"Why is she friendly with everyone except me? She only greet me formally, but she's relaxed when other members come... especially Chan Yeol."
Su Ho: Kai, get ready, we're next.
Kai: Yes.
Su Ho: D.O, is your mic ok?
D.O: Yes.
Su Ho: Did Everyone check their mic? Please stay awake.
Lay: I'm so sleepy...
Se Hun: Do you want me to slap you?
Lay while seeing Red Velvet come off stage: Oh nevermind, Irene noona is here.
Chan Yeol: Seulgi!
Seulgi: Sunbae.
Chan Yeol: You have something on your face.

Chan Yeol suddenly poke her cheek and they start laughing.

Se Hun: You see that Kim Jong In-sshi?
Kai: What?
Se Hun: That's what I call a happy virus couple.
Kai: Don't say shit.

"If I pass more time with her, I will remember her. That's all I have to do. Let's go."

Kai: Hey, Seulgi.
Seulgi bows to him: Good evening, Sunbae.

Kai pissed off: Hyung, are you doing a CF lately?

Chan Yeol: Seulgi?! Like my Seulgi?

POV of Seulgi: in the car, after the show.

"What should I do? Because I was afraid to talk to him, he thinks that I don't want to. I screwed everything..."

Joy: Unnie, what are you doing? Why do you look depressed? We did great today.
Seulgi: I didn't.
Wendy: What are you talking about? It's not like you forgot your dance moves.
Seulgi while looking outside: I'm not talking about the show, i'm talking about what happened after that.
Irene: You mean with the Exo sunbaenims?
Seulgi: Hm-hm.
Joy: Did you say something you shouldn't have?
Seulgi: I didn't say anything, I didn't have the time to. Now he must think that I... *sigh* nevermind.
Wendy with a smile: He? And who is "he"?
Seulgi: Does it really matter? What is important is that i'm not good with people. How do you do Wendy?
Irene: Yeah, I want to know too.

They arrive at the dorm and to calm herself and express her feeling, Seulgi runs toward the first empty practice room.

"I can't be like that for the rest of the day. I need to cool down".

She picks one of her favorite song and start to dance without a clear choreography, she simply dances to her heart content.

After thirty minutes, someone opens the door but leave right away. Because of the loud music, Seulgi didn't hear a thing, she keeps dancing on the electro music. She was so into it that she undid her ponytail and danced crazily on the beat.

Her feeling of shame went away as she sat down on the floor, trying to catch her breath.

Seulgi: Yah, Kang Seulgi, you can't be like that. It's not like you lost the war. Keep your head up.
Voice coming from the outside: That's the spirit. Even if you talk to yourself.

Seulgi gets up quickly. "Oh my god. Why? Why now? I'm sweating all over the place and he saw me talking alone. That's not the worse: he saw me dancing crazily. Why is it always like that?! Wendy's advices won't be of any help if he thinks i'm crazy".

Kai while giving her a towel: Here, take this.
Seulgi: Thank you.
Kai: If you're this red when you dance, you should open a window, it's not good for your health if you're this hot.
Seulgi: Ah yes.
Kai sitting down: Stop being this formal, I alrealdy told you that you can be confortable around me.
Seulgi following him: I will do my best.
Kai: Do I intimid you?
Seulgi: No.
Kai: Really?
Seulgi: Just a little bit.
Kai laughing: Why? I'm such a nice guy.
Seulgi: I don't know, probably because of the way you stand? Or the way you talk.
Kai: This one isn't true: I laugh at almost everything.
Seulgi: Your height. Since you're tall, it can be intimidating.
Kai: Chan Yeol is bigger than me and it didn't seem to bother you.
Seulgi: Or because you're really handsome? Beautiful people have that kind of feeling when you see them.
Kai: ...

"DID I JUST SAY THAT OUTLOUD?! Oh no! I can't live on like this! What's wrong with you Kang Seulgi? Just when everything was going smoothly!"

Kai: Are you seriously apologizing because you complimented someone?
Seulgi: I'm sorry.

Kai: Why does it sound normal when you say it? Ahahahaha.

Seulgi smiles. It has been a while since she has been so relaxed. Because of her debut, she was stressed out and her cold relationship with Kai didn't help much.

Kai: You're pretty when you smile... Is that why Chan Yeol call you bear?
Seulgi: Thank you. But it's only because Chan Yeol thinks bear is a cute name.
Kai: You don't add the sunbae anymore?
Seulgi: Oh! Oups, I didn't do it on purpose, i'm... not sorry.
Kai: Try to call me Kai too.
Seulgi: Kai sunbae.
Kai: No, without the sunbae.
Seulgi: I can't. It disrespectful.
Kai: It's not if I'm the one asking you. Just try. if you don't want to continue, it's ok. I just want to hear you say my name.
Seulgi while blushing: Kai...?
Kai: It sounds nice. It feels like we're close.
Seulgi: Kai. Kai? Ahh!! This is not going to work. I can't.
Kai: But i'm going to call you Seulgi, or bear or... I don't know. I want to find you a name that only I can use.
Seulgi: A name? Then why not Kangseul? Or Gigi? Or...
Kai: Mine.
