My pitch for Sonic movie 3

Sonic the hedgehog took the world by storm when he became a movie sensation right before the Covid lockdown, then again 2 years later with his sequel which brought Tails and Knuckles into the Frey.

So with Shadow teased by the end of the last one and Jim Carey supposedly leaving the role, I'm going to give some ideas on what I believe should happen in Sonic 3.

A few points I wanna make first.

1: For the sake of this, I believe Jim Carey Eggman will return at least for this movie, but in the event it's just for one last outing, I'll have that sorted by the end.

2: The Knuckles Tv show will happen beforehand so I just wanna clear up what I think will happen in this show. To put it simply, by the time of this movie, Knuckles has dealt with Chaos and made friends with Rouge along the way. He has one of her communicators to stay in touch when he goes back home.

3: This will be a plot loosely following the events of Sonic adventure 2, but let's get it clear and say I'm not including the moon explosion part.

Act 1: The set up

It's been about a year since Sonic 2 and Team Sonic is thriving. The government has allowed their actions albeit with a tight leash and The team is seen successfully using their abilities to stop a heist. G.U.N at this point has been keeping their existence outside green hills and the incident in Hawaii a secret, but a mistake on a mission causes them all to be exposed to the public.

And surprisingly, everyone loves them! Team Sonic become celebrities, Getting lost in fame, G.U.N Commander Walters yelling at them constantly but they never answer the phone. Meanwhile, Tom and Maddie have been irresponsibility left in charge of the Master Emerald, trying to get through to Sonic while also secretly planning on having a baby of their own.

Meanwhile, we get a scene of the raid on the Project shadow base. Armed in an Egg-mobile with legs and rocket Launchers, Eggman takes out all the guards and frees Shadow from his chamber.  After we see Shadow's corrupted thoughts and believing he promised Maria he would destroy humanity, Shadow says he's "Indebted" to Eggman and agrees to help him.

After showing his power by ruthlessly killing some backup G.U.N agents (where as Eggman was just knocking them out) Shadow would tell Eggman to go to the ark, giving him directions and a password only a Robotnik would know before leaving to retrieve the emeralds.

Shadow would be able to sense the emeralds power and make his way to Green hills. After blowing the Wakowski house to smithereens (Not just damaging it, destroying it entirely) and finding the master emerald, he would shatter it before taking the emeralds.

Here, Tom would be trying to call Sonic and fail, but he would pick up right before Shadow finds Tom on the phone, alerting Sonic to what's happening before Shadow destroys the phone and critically injures Tom. Not killing him, not taking off any limbs, but Tom would have a very nasty scar chest for the rest of his life.

Maddie would try and shoot Shadow with a tranquilliser gun which would have no effect, but Team Sonic would arrive to attack Shadow. He would demonstrate his power when Knuckles charges to attack, to which he immediately knocks knuckles aside with a backhand.

Sonic and Shadow would clash in the woods and the city, destroying buildings like crazy carls home, the police station and the town square. They would go blow for blow exchanging dialogue while Tails would be getting Tom, Knuckles and Maddie safe.

Eventually, The fight would end in a stalemate when Shadow drops the emeralds. Sonic would get 6, but Shadow would snatch the last 1 and make his escape. By the end, Green hills would be a smouldering husk of its former self and Tom would be getting wheeled away to a hospital. Before leaving, Maddie would be grief stricken and tell Sonic that he should've listened in the first place, then none of this would have happened.
