Mario + Rabbids is a game crossover between Nintendo and Ubisoft that nobody expected to be good, but it ended up being one of the most successful games from the Mario and Raving Rabbids franchise respectively, gaining a popular fan base and a sequel that was possibly even more popular then the first.
The idea of a Mario RPG shooter never sounded good on paper, but this franchise proved they could do the unexpected, so if that's the case, what if Ubisoft wanted to collaborate with Sega instead?
What if The Rabbids went to Sonic's home world of Mobius?

For this explanation, I'm gonna be splitting it up into two parts, one covering the first game and the second game for part 2.
The break in this timeline is actually very simple. Instead of the main inventor being a Mario fan, she's simply a sonic fan instead as we open up on her humming the lyrics of live and learn, posters and figures everywhere.
The intro is mostly the same, she leaves the overheating goggles on the desk and the Rabbids break in, wreck the place, one puts it on and becomes spawny and they get sucked into Sonic's world on Mobius.
Sonic during all this would be having a barbecue at Tails house with several others present when a wormhole appears and sucks everyone into it, despite Sonic's best attempts to save them.
And thus, we after Beep-0 meets up with sonic, we start the events of...

(Weapons)
Instead of normal blasters, the weapons will instead be manufactured from the parts of destroyed Badniks and Chaos drives, courtesy of Tails and Beep-0 from the future of course. They would have all the same status effects and abilities as the main game, such as fire, bounce, vampire, etc, all displayed through the colour of the drives.
(Characters and stats)
Sonic: The main character will be the fastest out of all playable, allowing him a total of 4 low damage dashes when at full power, but his main weapon would be a wrist blaster with the option of a bounce or push effect. His secondary attack would be a homing attack where he finds the closest enemy in range and uses a homing attack to slam into them for massive damage, allowing Sonic to land a short Distance from the target. For side abilities, Sonic would be able to increase his allies chance to land Critical attacks + Gain the foresight to dodge the first attack that is shot at him. He takes the leader position and cannot be swapped out and is available from the start of the game.
Rabbid Tails: Dressed in a horrible Tails costume with a ceiling fan duct-taped to his rear, Rabbid Tails would have Tails doll that shoots blasts of energy from the mouth, with effect options of Vamp and Honey. His secondary attack would have him use his Fan-tail to propel all enemies in range backwards. His side ability would have him cast a shield effect over his allies + Disable the weapons of all enemies in range. He would be available from the start of the game as the part of the beginning Trio.
Rabbid Amy: This Rabbid would behave quite obsessively around Sonic and wish to protect him at all cost. Her weapon would be a slingshot with energy projectiles with the choice of landing either a stone or a freeze effect. Her secondary weapon would have her target an enemy in range and bring down a hail of hearts onto them. For side abilities, she would be able to cast heal over allies in range + use tarot cards to employ a random status effect onto enemies. She would be available at the start of the game as part of the main trio.
Tails: Sonic's little brother would be packing when it comes to gadgets, discarding blasters in exchange for his own signature arm cannon from the battle games, firing single shots that go far and hit harder the further they go with the option of dealing a burn or ink effect. He's the only one capable of getting on high ledges and moving midair because of his tails, giving him great manoeuvrability at the cost of having the lowest health out of everyone. His secondary attack allows him to deploy a decoy that explodes when close enough to an enemy. For side abilities, he has a force field to protect him from a set damage amount + A quick eye to shoot the first enemy in range that moves. He can be unlocked after defeating the World 1 mid-boss.
