Hogwarts house sorting - Team Dark

Ah, Hogwarts. The most magical school in the fictional world, home to Harry Potter, Cedric Diggory and many other brave wizards. I myself am a proud member of Hufflepuff.

But what if we took other universe characters and put them into Hogwarts Houses? Let's say...the most edgy team in Sonic history? 

Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the bat and The last of the E-series line built by Dr Eggman, E-123 Omega. These 3 are certainly a team that many would instantly place in green robes, but not all of them are like that! Today, let's sort Team Dark into Hogwarts!

Before we begin, let's look over what each house represents.

Gryffindor - Courage and chivalry are two of the most recognisable qualities when it comes to this house – but that doesn't mean that every Gryffindor is always supremely confident and self-assured. Some can be nervous or unsure of themselves and still belong there. Courage doesn't have to involve flashy or daring gestures.

Hufflepuff - Every Hogwarts house has both negatives and positives, but Hufflepuffs are some of the most caring and giving out there. They are known for being fair, loyal, hardworking, dedicated, and patient. These are all great qualities to have and ones that make someone giving, sincere, and loving.

Slytherin - Slytherins are hardworking and desire success. They are known to achieve great things (even if not always good things). They are the kind of people who make you want to be better just by being around them. They are determined and resourceful.

Ravenclaw - House of the wise, home to the curious, taker of thinkers. They produce smart and creative children, amazing thinkers, and students that are unafraid to be different.

None of these houses are particularly bad, but they each have certain areas that apply to a specific type of person. With that, let's work backwards and get to the decisions!

Omega:

Omega was the last of the E-series built by Eggman, but his purpose was wasted when he was placed on guard duty for an amnesia induced Shadow. Enraged, he vowed vengeance on the doctor and made an alliance with Shadow and Rouge to bring him down.

In almost all his appearances, Omega has displayed a bloodlust for battle and has sought combat to destroy as many badniks he can get his claws on. In the IDW comics, he was reduced to nothing but a head by Zombots and insisted he could still fight. 

Despite that, he has displayed a loyalty to his team and assisted Shadow in fighting Mephilis in 06. He even felt guilt that he was the one that captured Shadow in the future. He has ambitions obviously, but His confidence and self belief in his abilities know no end.

With that, our decision for Omega is...

Rouge:

Rouge the bat is a part time jewel thief who also works for G.U.N, also being the one that United Team Dark in the first place. She likes to spend her free Time annoying Knuckles on Angel island and trying to take the Master emerald.

Now Rouge is many things, even though we don't see her on screen much. She's typically seen as deceptive and manipulative, able to trick Knuckles more than once and fool Shadow and Eggman in Adventure 2, even if just briefly. Although, he tricking knuckles can be attributed to the fact he's naive about the world outside Angel island.

Beyond that, Rouge has proven to be very intelligent as she's able to get secret information off Eggman's computers for Team Darks missions, as well as being able to piece together Omega's anger towards Eggman and Shadow's amnesia fairly quickly.

So while she would have factors that attribute to Slytherin, I believe the best house for this bat is...

And now, a hedgehog that needs no introduction...

Shadow the Hedgehog:

The ultimate Lifeform made by Gerald Robotnik, Shadow was built as the spawn of Black doom as a means to cure Gerald's Granddaughter Maria. Unfortunately, G.U.N attacked and Maria was killed. Now bitter to the world that took her away, Shadow briefly teamed with Dr Eggman 50 years later to exact his vengeance on the world.

However, his encounter with others such as Rouge, Amy and especially Sonic changed him, helping him remember Maria's wish to protect humanity. Ever since then, he's put his grudge against G.U.N behind him to protect the world from Eggman and others.

Through his time shown, Shadow has proven to be the opposite of Shadow in many ways. He's usually cold to many and only showed car for Maria and his teammates. He gets angry easily, is quick to berate others and downplay enemies like Infinite, as well as throw himself into fights he can't win, Such as the Zombot arc.

So while he's definitely brave, loyal and smart in his own right, his ambition and need to be superior overrides all of that. I know I said not to slap a sticker over the whole team, but Shadow has proven he's most deserving of a place in...
