Tw for like a whole fighting and blood stuff idk

I stand uncomfortably as Valefar adjusts a simple black dress with a slit at the bottom, its simple and honestly thats just how i like it. Few more minutes of me standing uncomfortably with my hands up, she finally finishes. Yeesh, who knew it'd take that long to just adjust a dress I think as i stretch. As i stretched, i feel my pearl in my back.
"Is there a chance you can cover my pearl, Valefar? If its too much of a hassle its fine." I question pointing to my back.

"I could but i think it just makes the dress look nicer, a little distraction from the black dress." She says.
"But.. its in the back..? Whatever its fine." Valefar goes to change to her gown. I move to a mirror if anything I feel odd with this dress, its nice! But just not something i usually wear.. I wear the same thing everyday actually. Now that I'm thinking of it, its my first time going to a ball. How did Solaris even convince the king to even agree to it..
"And we're done!" Solaris says suddenly stepping into the room with Valefar in their gowns. Solaris has a similar dress to mine, exposing a bit more skin, white laced with gold. Its a good change from those really poofy dresses. Valefar went simple too, a red satin dress swoops at the bottom to the right.
"Huh, you guys look nice. Its a nice change from those big dresses Princess." I comment.
"Whats wrong with the big dresses!?" She exclaims. I wave my hand dismissing what i said.
"How long till the ball?" Valefar asks Solaris. I untie my ponytail brushing it around.
"At nightfall, a little night ball is always nice." I hear her say. Im brush my front piece of hair to the side. My white hair pieces have been known since Valefar found out. They stopped asking questions about it after I've ignored them every-time, childish but it worked. And honestly i look good with them out, i brush my hair out finally leaving it alone as im satisfied how it looks.
"Who knew just having your hair done could change your look so much!" Solaris says behind me looking at the mirror too.
"Really? I think i look the same." I say blatantly. Solaris shakes her head before going back to Valefar to talk. I get ready to make my rounds around the castle before the ball.
"Hey Im gonna step out to make some rounds, I'll be back before the ball." I hear them say ok and make my way out the room, shutting the door behind me. I let out a big sigh before turning, going down the same long hallway I've been going down for a year. Its crazy how dull this place is, compared to the first time entering. I remember it being so much.. brighter? Not sure, it was just not as dull as it is now. As i turn, I notice a figure down the hallway. Walking closer, I squint trying to see the figure better. I relax my eyes when i finally figure out who it is, my "father" the head guard. Its been a while since i've seen him, I guess I have been a bit secluded.
"Hows my favorite daughter?" His voice is tinged with sweetness.
"Quite alright, though may I ask why the chief is in the halls when he should be doing.. chief work? Not sure what you would call it" I shrug, I stood next to him.
"Did Valefar put that dress together for you? She is a talented woman if i say so myself."
I frown. "Cut the small talk, what do you want."
"Is that any way to talk to the man who took you in, raised you, and trained you to get you where you are now?" He raises a brow at me. I respond with silence.
"Its nothing though, we're cutting the plan early. Easier if we just... start it now. The men are ready we just need to let this ball go on and we just.. well you know." Aryan says this so bluntly as if its nothing. As much as I would've liked this, i can't help but feel a dreading weight on my chest. My eyes break contact looking to the ground, like an upset child.
"Got it. I'll be going now." I mutter. He chuckles, as he walks pass me he ruffles my hair.
"You're a good kid, Zhara."

balling time ong

I stand by the side observing the ball. Dresses flowing by with a rhythm dancing, followed by either another dressed person or pair of legs. My vision with haze the further away I look, by the corner of my eye I notice two figures approaching me. Two of which are having a quarrel. "Shouldn't you be guarding someone?" A familiar voice asks me. I fully turn to face the two, being greeted by two old friends. I can't help but smile.
"And shouldn't you be watching over some horses? Oh, great keeper of the heavenly horses" I respond to the ginger simian. It was a new title i've heard around, quite silly. I glance at the dark simian who's giggling at the small remark. A quick flick to the head was given to the head. How I missed talking to these two.
"Whats with the grays granny, the princess stressing you out?" I rub my neck.
"You still ask a buncha questions, annoying as ever huh.." I say crossing my arms.
"I wouldn't call myself annoying exactly.."
I don't know how long we talk for, It felt peaceful talking with these two idiots. Until I just had to remember, that same dreadful weight comes back. My palms sweaty, I glance around looking for Solaris. I'd do anything to repay this debt to Aryan, but this is too much.
"Zhara, you good? Who're you looking for..?" My face might've changed to a frantic look quickly just enough to have the two notice. I shake my head, moving between them and into the crowd. It shouldn't even be this hard to find a princess. Before I know it, panic ensues in the ballroom, im almost knocked down from shock. The own palaces guard is attacking its guests, the other guards fighting back. Confusion amidst them not knowing who's traitorous. Just for a second, and just a second i see her.
"Solaris!" I yell for her while I keep moving against the fleeing crowd, trying to get to the confused princess. As i reach her, I grab her by the arm. But she doesn't budge at the first tug, I notice shes staring wide eyed at something. "Hey, we need to get going now. Lets go find Valefar and get you both somewhere safe!" I yell into her ear. Still not budging as if glued, I quickly look to where shes looking at. My eyes are met with a gruesome scene of Valefar, too much to even describe. I shut my eyes, finally just yanking Solaris. If we go out, we'll be met with an army. I take us to a room on the highest floor in a tower of the palace, I let go of the shocked Solaris who drops as soon as i let go. I hastily unsheathe my scythe from my gem as I hear armor buckling and footsteps coming up. The princess' panicked breathing setting in is the last thing i hear before the horde reached us.

A more worse scene than Valefar's was laid out. It was silent in the palace except for the sobs that came from the princess. There were sounds of a one sided fight back at the ballroom. Maybe the king is alive, and he's got the upperhand at the moment. I turn to the unconsolable princess, "I'm sorry but we should get going, cover your eyes I'll guide you down okay?" I try to say soothingly as i lay my hand out for her to grab, which she does. I guide her down and we reenter the ballroom, painted with a dark red color. Solaris squeezes my arm, burying her head to my back. The voice of the princess' father roared.
"My own chief, betraying me? My kingdom? Ridiculous! And to attack the innocent, its all outrageous. The unneeded bloodshed, all for what, power? Power gets you no where, Aryan. Except here." Just like that, the man who took me in was killed. Squashed like a bug. As horrible he might've been, i feel crushed. The king turns, probably because he hears his daughter uncontrollably wailing. Just for a second he looks at me with ill intent before it just washes away.

In the garden

"Are.. you really sure you wanna leave the celestial realm..?" Solaris asks me, I nod. She sighs sadly. I feel bad for leaving even after shes lost her only friend, but i have someone i need to attend to. "Well then, let me and my father give you a gift before you go. A guard will call you into a room once we got your gift, it'll be quick." Without wasting time, she leaves quickly to talk to her father. I'm left alone, atleast I thought i was.

"It's about time you've finish your time here." The girl with raven hair says in a smooth yet kind voice. "You've lingered here far too long, you'll be a great pawn in my grasp, Zhara." As quick as she appeared, she was gone. Not too long after, a guard came out to bring me in.

I enter the throne room, the same room i was welcomed in. There the king and princess sat.
"Its ashame to have you go" The king starts.
"But if its what you wish, we shall leave you with a gift,"
The princess finishes her fathers sentence. "An elixir of Immortality."
