Its been about a thousand years, I've spent all that time traveling with this lady. She spent some time as an assistant to this mortal emperor, to see if she can help people under his reign. Lady ivory gave up on that, she apparently thinks it best to start with a clean slate. Oh we also took their chief, I swear all chiefs are traitors at this point. Oh, and can you believe it before this, she informed us that she just gave the skeleton key away! Like it was nothing! Whatever, now I'm just in a cave sitting with the weird guy, waiting for lady ivory. "Lady ivory is taking too long and its sooo boring" I huffed.
"For an immortal you're really annoying and impatient." He replies
"I haven't been that annoying, old man." I yawn. The chief frowned. "If I'm annoying, wait till you encounter my real great friend." Emphasizing on friend
"If theyre a real good friend, they've gotta be worse than you." Chief says
I smile, shrugging I reply "Maybe"
With nothing better to i resorted to playing with the pebbles on the ground. Until I heard a group bickering. I turn happily to the chief, finally having something to do
"You don't think Lady ivory would mind jf i just, catch up with someone?"
" Do what you want, cause i sure wouldn't mind if you left me alone."
I smile. I got up peering over the cave wall.
The group was bickering so loud as they entered the cave.
"You knew the old lady was a demon! You just wanted me out!" I heard one say.
" Yeah i did, if you werent so annoying maybe i would've told Master the truth" The other replied.
"Can you guys stop bickering, come help set up the stuff to camp for the night. We should also clear out the cave.." And another person suggested.
"Im sure piggy got it all under control if im worthless enough to kick out" The first one from earlier huffed. His voice sounded familiar, I just can't put my finger on it.
"You.. annoying little-"
I hold back a sigh. Is this why Lady ivory wanted us here to intercept a group of demons? Wait no, theres a human? I can't tell, my senses are messed up. I'll have to get a better look. Still, its so annoying, and they come in this cave as if no one could be here.
I knock on the cave walls.
"Hey, have you ever thought someone might be here before you guys?"
It wouldve been fun to mess with random humans but the carnate with other demons? Yeesh, I still can't see how many there might be. Being in the dark doesn't work if you're tying to see, definitely best for just listening.
"Oh we're deeply sorry, we didn't know someone mightve been here already!" I think this is a human.
"It smells human we can easily kick it out" I peered through the dark shadow of the cave. It was a pig demon speaking. A pig demon! Huh.
"Rather rude aren't you? I didn't say you can't be here just be more thoughtful someone might be here." I tried to look friendly as i scanned the cave, A monk, a pig , a white horse, a sand demon and.. that monkey. Shock covers my face for a second before i cover it. Lady ivory is after the golden cicadas incarnate.
I think he might've recognized me. I mean I haven't changed over a thousand years, a few scares here and there but nothing else. I can't help but sigh to myself, thinking how im gonna help her on this. Until the simian started speaking "You, what are you doing here, how are you alive even?" Right, my kind is only able to live up to 200. Only double of humans.
I shrugged "Waiting for my lady, nothing much. Given a elixir, not stealing one unlike someone."He frowned but then looked confused,
"I thought you stopped serving the princess long ago. Another one? What, you plan to take over that one instead this time?" I can't help but feel annoyed, yet i smiled
"No you're right, i stopped serving her and I'n not at another kingdom. Princess' are a pain to protect. I think you get that now since you're getting experience." I eyed the monk. "Plus, reminder that was Aryan. I rather helped the kingdom." I crossed my arms.
he frowned again. hes got no right to be upset about anything. "Whos the girl then. You reek of a demoness." I can just put that on me, I have always had a humanish and demon scent.
