Chapter 21

Ni-ki and Ah Eun were walking at the hallway together as they were about to pass by the guys walking towards their way, it was the players from the Gyungmi University.

As they walked to each other's way, the players were barely gazing on Lee Ah Eun, while she wasn't even paying any attention.

"Who's that?" One of the guy can be heard asking, loud enough for them to hear.

"They said she's Lee Heeseung's cousin"

"She's gorgeous"

"Yeah, she's beautiful"

But hearing that made Ni-ki chuckled, so he whispered to her, "They said you're beautiful"

While Ah Eun starts to glare on him, just seeing him laughing at her made her realized that he's trying to tease her again. He's starting to make fun of her for the hundredth time.

"They should consult an eye checkup, you're ugly" he smiled looking on her annoyed face.

When the players are far away from them already, she stopped from walking, looking at Ni-ki with piercing glares.

Ni-ki automatically stopped from walking too, just seeing her face makes him tried to hold back his laughter. It is so hilarious for him to see.

Ah Eun just seriously stared directly in his eyes, "Why don't you just leave me alone?"

Hearing her acting strict and pissed off as like that made him smile a lot, he likes it, a lot, therefore out of the blue, he pinched her cheeks, "Are you acting cute to me, pabo-ya?"

"Are you flirting with me?" She straightforwardly asked, as she bitterly removed his hand from squishing her cheeks and continued walking instead.

"Why are you so cold today huh? Did I do anything wrong?" Ni-ki asked as he still followed beside her.

Lee Ah Eun was attempting to keep her distance from all of them, though, deep down. Suddenly, she had the urge to simply return to the first day of class. When she isn't in contact with anyone, what options does she have? She and Ni-ki are acquainted to one another. Since she has spent the majority of her time with Ni-ki, she cannot simply leave or dump him.

"Hey, pabo-ya, I just won the game yet you're not even congratulating me. I'm getting upset for real hmm," Ni-ki pouted, retorting.

"Congrats." she simply said as she looked back on him while still walking.

"Your acting really sucks"

Then suddenly, as she took a step, she felt the ground slippy and was ready to collapse, but fortunately, Ni-ki was able to hold her before she ever touched the ground.

When she looked up, she saw that Ni-ki had his right arm across her shoulders and was holding her hand with his left.

Slowly, she turned a look up on him on her left side, she was suddenly stunned seeing how physically close they are to each other, and same as that time, she realized for the second time that it really has no cure. She knew she's attached to him already, as a friend. He is a nice friend after all so why would she want to stay away from him?

Perhaps not everybody is as bad as her parents, her ex boyfriend and her ex best friend who didn't do anything but hurt her.

"Yah! Pabo-ya! Why aren't you taking care of yourself? You almost fell," Ni-ki scolded her as soon as he catched her.

While Ah Eun was looking on his hand that was holding hers.

The floor was slippery since it was wet, the janitors just cleaned it few seconds ago.
