"Heeseung, can I just go back in my condo?" Lee Ah Eun asked approaching him in his room, currently in facetime with Kang Soo Hyun.

"No," Heeseung coldly responded, not even looking at her.

She sighed, rolling her eyes, "Can I at least get my blanket? I couldn't sleep without my favorite blanket, you left it in my condo,"

However, he turned to look at her on the side and finally payed a complete attention to her, "Stop making excuses and just go back in your room, you are not leaving this place,"

"Not leaving this place? What about tomorrow? Aren't you coming to the festival in the campus? I would like to attend the event," she frustratingly said, trying to convince her cousin who turned to be prohibiting her from going anywhere, even to her own place.

"I said NO LEAVING, don't be stubborn, Lee Ah Eun," He strictly said before going back to his facetime with his girlfriend.

Unfortunately, Ah Eun had nothing to do but to walk away in annoyance, turning back on him.

"Heeseung-ah, why are you isolating her?" Soo Hyun started to ask through the facetime as she heard everything they talked about.

"I'm not isolating her, I'm only protecting her, Soo Hyun-ah," He says, staring at her through the screen.

"Protecting her? From who? From your friends? It's not like they would do something bad to hurt your cousin, Heeseung," Soo Hyun started saying but Heeseung had no response.

Therefore, she says, "You know them well. You've been friends with them for a very long time. And, you've seen how much they cared for Ah Eun. Just like you, they all protected her at all cost,"

"So what's the point of protecting her from those guys who did nothing but to protect her too?"

"Soo Hyun-ah, seriously, let's not talk about it right now. I'm so drained and I have my reasons. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," he deeply sighed, shaking his head.

"I wish you really know what you are doing, and I wish you would not regret everything you are doing right now, Heeseung-ah,"

"Jagiya, let's just talk tomorrow. I need to sleep and you must be sleeping too during this hour," he coldly replied.

Meanwhile, as Ah Eun retreated into the safety of the guest room, a wave of helplessness washed over her, engulfing her in a familiar sense of suffocating anxiety. The weight of her trauma bore down on her chest, making it difficult to draw breath as tears streamed down her cheeks.

Her body trembled with the intensity of her emotions, her hands and feet growing cold as the memories of past traumas flooded her mind. The same feelings of confinement and possessiveness that had haunted her in the past now threatened to overwhelm her once again.

Lying on the bed, Ah Eun found herself consumed by the pain of her past, her heart aching with the weight of her unresolved emotions. The silence of the room echoed with her silent cries, the darkness of her thoughts threatening to engulf her completely.

In that moment, Ah Eun felt as though she had been transported back in time, trapped once again in the suffocating grip of her past traumas. Despite her best efforts to push them aside, they loomed large, casting a shadow over her present reality and leaving her feeling powerless and alone.

Why? Why is this happening again?
