After countless hours of driving, I pull over in front of a bar and climb out. My phone has been buzzing countless times.

It’s probably my parents…no wait… they are not.

I should have picked on sooner.

Why the fuck did Caroline give me up?

Why didn’t she come back for me?

I get that she was messed up in the past but now she is a sex therapist and makes good money so why didn’t she come back for me?

Was she ashamed of me?

I think I’m starting to understand what Kane felt five years ago.

His anger.

I don’t even know what I’m feeling right now.

“Hi. What can I get you.” The bartender asks.

“Some to make forget about tomorrow,” I say and look around. It’s mostly men in here watching football on the small screen at the corner.

“That bad huh?” he asks preparing my drink.

“You have no idea.” He hands me the drink and I gulp it down in one go.

“Another one!” I yell over the music.
Six drinks later I’m drunk, happy and dancing with no care in the world. A hand wrap around my waist and I turn around to wrap my arms around his neck.

“Hey, cutie.”

“Gorgeous.” We dance in each other’s arms, and it feels great, no to worry about tomorrow.

“You are playing a dangerous game.” I giggle and turn to him.

“Let’s play a game,” I whisper in his ear.

“I’m listening.”

“Body shots. The winner decides whose place we are going to.”

“Lead the way.” We make our way to the counter and I take off my shirt and the guys whistle.

I lay down and he puts a cup filled with vodka on my belly and salt next to it. The bartender places a slice of lemon between my teeth. He licks the salt off my stomach and takes the cup with his mouth gulping it down.

Cheers fill the small bar.

He takes the lemon in his mouth, connecting our lips.

Excitement fills me as he pulls back and I stand up on the counter with a bottle of vodka in hand and dance.

I feel free.

I don’t care about tomorrow.

I just want to stay like this forever.

A guy in a suit walks in and the more I try to see who is it I wish I didn’t.
Kane.

What the fuck is he doing here?

He glares up at me.

I like the position.

I feel taller than him and on top of the world.

“Get down right now?”

“Who the fuck are you?” the guy I was doing body shots with asks. I didn’t even know his name.

“Get out of my way before my way,” Kane says without taking his eyes off me.

“She is mine…” he knocks him out before he can finish his sentence. He steps over him and pulls my hand causing me to look down at him. I can feel the contents moving up and I don’t have time to warn him before I realise everything, I have consumed on him.

He glares at me and lifts me down. He grabs my shirt and makes me wear it.
He drags me outside and Dorrian opens the passenger door for us.

“Don’t ever drink like this again when I’m not here.” He says taking off his jacket and t-shirt.

I might be drunk but damn he is so fine.

“And don’t ever let another man touch you.”

“When…” I bleb “When did you get here?” Dorrian takes a sharp turn and Kane saves me from colliding with the front seat.

“Few minutes ago. I came here from the airport.”

The car stops and Kane climbs out and helps me out of the car.
He holds my hand as I stumble behind him.

“Sit down.” He points at the chair like I’m a dog. I want to argue with him, but his glare has me obeying orders.
He opens the fridge and takes out a bottle of water.

“I’m hungry,” I say as he gives me the bottle.

“No, you are not.”

“Please.” He closes his eyes in defeat and takes out a packet of instant noodles.

“Go brush your teeth.” He points to a door down the hallway. I almost fall as I climb off the chair but catches me and comes with me to the bathroom.
He hands me a toothbrush and I look at him in question.

“For fuck’s sake.” He takes the brush and brushes my teeth for me.

“I missed you,” I say out of nowhere. He stops for a second and continues.

“Rinse.” I rinse my mouth and I lift my hands in his direction.

He smirks but picks me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck.

“You are such a baby when you are drunk but I love it if you are throwing yourself at me voluntarily.”

“I love you.”

“Then why do you need to think about us if you love me?” he walks up the stairs with me still in his arms.

“Because you lied to me.”

“Take me and I promise I won’t lie to you.”

“Hold on tight.” I hold on for a dear life and he lets go of my bottoms and opens a door.

He puts me on a bed and walks away. I lay back on the bed and dark spots appear but before darkness takes over a hand hits me and I wake up.

“You need to change.” He holds out his shirt and helps me take off my clothes.
I get under covers and cover my body with a duvet.
“Does this mean we are back together?” he asks tucking my hair behind my ear.

“Hmm-hm.”
