Chapter Two

I woke up without a pair of arms around me but the sun shining on my face. I looked at the time on my phone. It was 9: 32. I noticed on my bedside table there was a note written in Niall's handwriting.

Went to the studio. Apparently we have to be there early because management thinks we're spending too much time with our relationships (lies, or partly true). I made breakfast for you downstairs. Sorry for not being there for to help with the morning sickness.

- Nialler :)

I smiled at the note before having the urge to vomit. It wasn't because of the letter but because of the morning sickness. I brushed my teeth, took a shower and got dressed. Today I decided to wear a black tank top with sliver beads around the neck line, jeans and black wedges. I'm sure going to miss wearing this when stomach grows bigger.

I checked my phone, nothing much besides tons of notifications from Twitter. I opened my messages and saw just a text from Eleanor.

From: Eleanor

Im bored! Wanna help me shop for maternity wear?

From: Eleanor

Thanks. oh please bring Liz with you.

To: Eleanor

No prob.

To: Lizzie

Wanna come with El and I to shop for maternity wear?

From: Lizzie

Yes please.

I slipped my phone in my pocket and grabbed my purse. I drove to The Wanted's place in my new Volkswagen Polo and picked up Liz. She was only about a month and a half pregnant and her bump was hardly visible.

"Hey Liz. I haven't seen you in awhile." I greeted as she got in the car.

"Nathan is kind of too protective when it comes to pregnancies." Liz commented.

"I can relate." I replied.

I drove to the mall and parked my car. Liz and I wondered around hoping to find Eleanor who told us to meet near Starbucks. After ten minutes of searching, we finally found her.

"Kate, Liz! I missed you two so much." Eleanor exclaimed then pulled both of us into a bone crushing hug.

"Nice to see you too, El." I replied.

"Time to shop!" Liz exclaimed after the hug.

"Too bad you'll feel left out while we shop for maternity wear, Kate." Eleanor said.

"Actually..." I trailed off hoping Eleanor would understand.

"Wait a minute... You too?" Eleanor asked, being her giddy self and I just nodded. "Well come on!"

Eleanor dragged us into the first shop which was specialised for expecting mothers like the three of us. Eleanor's bump was clearly visible and wearing one of Louis's sweaters didn't help cover it up but she was proud to show her bump.

"So how's Louis treating you?" I asked as we looked through the clothes.

"Since we've found out the gender, Lou and I have been arguing over the names but other than he's doing his best to give me the best of everything." Eleanor explained then picked up a shirt to inspect.

"Nathan thinks that I should stop training for till the baby is born but my coach won't let me off till I'm at least three months." Liz said as she browsed through some shirts.

Even though I am pregnant, it still feels awkward to be here. Liz and Eleanor are a lot further into their pregnancy compared to me. I just sat on a chair as we talked about things like names, the boys, wedding plans, and etcetera.

"Are you guys done yet?" I whined as they paid for their clothes.

"That's hundredth time already. Wait till your bump grows then you'll understand." Eleanor told me. I have a feeling that her kids are going to be well behaved.

"I'm hungry." I stated, ignoring Eleanor's comment.

"Yeah, let's go to Nandos! I'm tired of Jay's vegetarian cooking." Liz said. I chuckled a little.

"I feel you. Wouldn't your guys mad for eating 'unhealthy' food?"

"What they don't won't kill them." Eleanor said. I just shrugged it off and we went to Nandos.

We sat down at a window booth. A familiar young male waiter who looked around nineteen years old took our orders. I swear that I've seen him somewhere before.

"Welcome to Nandos. My Name is Mike and I am waiter today." The waiter said, pulling out a notebook to write down our order. Then it hit me.

"I'm just curious. Have you dated anyone of by the name of Kate Sykes?" I asked. I looked at Liz and Eleanor who were giving me very strange looks.

"Actually yes. How do you know?" Mike said, giving me a strange look. He studied my facial features once more then it hit him. "Wait, Kate is that you?"

"Yup, the one and only." I replied with a smile.

"Wow, you've changed compared to the last time I saw you."

"I could say the same the same to you."

"Wanna meet up later? You guys are my last customers of the day." Mike asked.

"Sure."

"Now what would you like to order?"

We told Mike what we wanted to order and wrote it down. As soon he left, Liz and Eleanor started bombarding me with tons of questions about Mike.

"Who was that?" Eleanor asked.

"Mike, my ex-boyfriend." I simply answered, not wanting to explain more.

"How did you two meet?" Liz asked. "This is going to be one long day" I thought.

"Back in Texas." I answered. I looked at Liz and Eleanor who wanted to hear more of the story. I sighed and continued. "We started dating when I fifteen. Who just moved in as my new neighbour and we met, became friends, developed feelings, dating then broke up because I caught him cheating with a cheerleader."

"Oh young love." Liz commented.

"He seems like a nice guy but you know how exes are when they see that their ex is married and better looking." Eleanor stated. I nodded, she's right.

Mike came over with our food. I offered to pay since I was going to hang out with Mike for a while, in the meanwhile the girls were going to go shopping for more stuff.

"Let's go!"Mike exclaimed then dragged me to the park.

A/N: Hanging out with exes normally go horribly wrong... 22 reads? Not bad, I guess. My exams are in about three weeks and all I've done is procrastinate (not a very good idea, I know).
