Chapter Fourteen

"Just one more push, I can see a head." The doctor encouraged me as I was giving birth to Niall's third child. I pushed once more and a loud cry filled the room. Soon I was holding my new born child in my arms.

Niall came over and gave me a kiss on the forehead. "I'm proud of you."

"What are you going to name her?" The nurse ask with a wooden clipboard in her arms.

I smiled at my child. "Emily Halston Horan." The nurse nodded as she went to call everyone in. We had agreed that the guys would come over in the morning as the delivery was late at night.

"There's my little brother!" Gregg exclaimed as he came in. "The proud father of three kids." I just smiled as Niall tried to think of a witty comeback.

"Ma! Up!" Flynn demanded. Niall placed him on the bed and did the same for Ashlynn.

"Ash, Flynn meet your new sister, Emily." I told my kids as the pushed each other to look at their new sibling.

"Uncle Nath! Look at the baby!" Ashlynn exclaimed as Nathan came in with Liz and Lucas. Nathan just smiled and walked closer to me.

"What's her name?" Nathan asked me.

"Emily Halston Horan." Niall answered proudly.

"She looks like you,Kate,with Niall's eyes." Liz commented as she looked at the baby. Emily did looked like me, except she had Niall's blue eyes and probably his energy too as she can't stop kicking the blanket.

"She's probably got his Irish charm too." I commented. "Ash, Flynn, why don't you kiss the baby?" Both of them crawled over since they were on the hospital bed. They both planted a kiss on her forehead. I saw from the corner my eye that Niall had taken a photo and I just smiled.

"No kisses for daddy?" Niall asked the twins in fake hurt. They both rushed off the bed and went to kiss Niall on the cheek.

"Mum and dad are coming this Saturday to see their new grandchild." Nathan informed me and I nodded. They would have come earlier but Jess still has school but she's moving to London for university so that way she can visit us.

We chatted for till Emily fell asleep. I placed her in the crib provided by the hospital. Soon enough I fell asleep too.

TWO YEARS LATER

It's been over two years since Emily was born and the twins are three years old now. We currently live in a two story house with a pool and backyard and surprisingly Nathan lives in the same neighbourhood as us.

We were all currently hanging outside. Ash and Flynn were currently chasing each other, not caring about their muddy clothes. Niall was just sitting down on a relaxing chair playing guitar while watching those two get muddier and muddier. I set Emily down on the grassy land and sat down on the relaxing chair opposite of Niall's.

"Mummy, I want to learn to play guitar like daddy!"Flynn said as he ran towards us.

"No problem kiddo. Where's your toy guitar?" Niall asked him.

"I'll go get it!" Flynn exclaimed as he dashed into the house.

"Mum! I'm hungry, can I go get a bag of cookies?" Ashlyn asked me with puppy eyes. I stared then told her 'no'. "Daddy, can I?"

"Or we'll tell ma what you did!" Emily threatened. I shot a death glare at Niall followed by a 'what-did-you-?' look.

Emily and Ashlyn eat a lot but my mum still complains that they're still too skinny while Flynn was a moderate eater.

"Yes as long as you don't tell her." Niall whispered and those ran off with grins on their faces.

"What did you do?" I ask as soon as those left to raid the pantry.

"I might have um broke a vase while you were gone and the kids witnessed it." Niall explained with a sheepish smile.

I smiled and pinched his cheek. "You're lucky that you're cute and I love you. Which vase did you break?"

"The one that we bought at the art auction."

"I hated that one anyways." I told him.

"Daddy! I found it! Teach me, teach me!" Flynn exclaimed while he running towards us with his toy guitar in his arms. Niall gestured him to sit next to him before teaching him.

"Alright you pluck this string." Niall instructed as he plucked the first sting.

"Like this?" Flynn asked as copied Niall's movement. Niall smiled as continued to teach Flynn how to play guitar.

"You know, you should consider teaching him how to play piano." I familiar Gloucester accent said from behind me. I turned around and saw my own twin brother, Nathan standing behind me with his hands in his pockets acting cool.

"Hey Nath, what brings you here?" I cooly asked. "And to answer your question, nah."

"Finally got a few days off. Starting last week, so I decided to visit my sister. You know, we don't see each other much for siblings who live five blocks from each other." Nathan explained as he made his way to my relaxing chair.

"First of all, you are you're so busy with the new album and so is Niall so I used the time between to spend time with him. Secondly, you we saw each other two weeks ago." I replied to him. Ashlyn and Emily came in with a bag of cookies and chocolate covered their mouths.

"Uncle Nath!" Emily exclaimed as she ran over then embraced him into a hug. The kids have always been fond of Nathan.

"Hey M&M, hey Ash." Nathan greeted followed by ruffling their heads.

"Would you like a cookie?" Ashlyn asked Nathan politely.

"Sure." Nathan answered sweetly as Ashlyn gave him a cookie. "Thank you." He accepted the cookie and ate it.

"No cookies for daddy?" Niall asked as soon as she went inside to play.

Ashlyn turned around. "What is the magic word?"

"Can I have a cookie please?" Niall asked with big puppy eyes that even I couldn't say no to.

"Alright, here you go." Ashlyn passed a cookie to him and he gladly accepted it. I looked at Nathan who was whispering into Emily's ear and she nodded, she then whispered in Ashlyn's ear which made her nod in agreement.

"What did you tell them?" I asked Nathan who was smirking and playing it cool.

"You'll see." He smirked which made me worried.

This isn't going to end well for sure.

I watched those two ask Niall get up followed by him turning around which he did without hesitation. Soon enough they pushed him into the pool. I saw Nathan dying of laughter as Niall rose up to the surface. Niall gave him a death glare.

"What was that for?" Niall shouted to Nathan in anger. Ashlyn and Emily both hid behind me in shame as Niall got out of the pool.

"That was revenge for hiding all my snapbacks for an entire week." Nathan answered. "I told you I'd get my revenge."

"That was three years ago." Niall said in disbelief. "Don't worry kids, you're safe unlike your uncle." The kids went back into the house and left the three of us alone outside.

I rolled my eyes. These two will never change.
