"Give me the remote!' I screamed as I tackled Nathan to the ground to get the remote. Now we were both on the carpet floor and of course I was on top. As you can tell, we were arguing over the remote, nothing out of the ordinary.
"No! This is a very important footy match!" Nathan screamed back as he tried to keep the remote out of reach.
"You can look up the results later!" I replied poking his arm pit making his arm retract. I quickly got the remote and stood up.
"Oi! You cheated!" Nathan said.
I stuck out my tongue the ignored him. I plop my self on the couch and flipped through the channels.
"Don't think that you're getting away so easily." Nathan said but I ignored him again and the next I know, he tackled me and his body was on top of me.
"Get off of me you fatty!" I said attempting to wriggle out while keeping the remote if reach.
"Not until you give me back the remote." Nathan replied trying to get remote.
"Second thought, I'll stay here."I said with a smirk.
"Thank god that you two are related." Jay said as he came in with his hand wrapped around Maddie's waist. I looked at Nathan who also had a raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, looks like you two were going to shag with clothes on." Niall added as he came in with a can of Pepsi in his hand. Maddie came in and snatched the remote from my hand then sat on another couch.
We were back in Gloucester for a week and it's only the second day. This time it wasn't only Nathan, Jessica, me and Niall. This time it was the four of us, Liz, Maddie and the rest of her family and Jay (only because Aunt Del and Uncle Roger might be his future parents in law). It was the first week of December and mum wanted us back home before Nathan's wedding next week then the following week would be Christmas..
Of course we're not sharing one house. My parents figured that this family is only getting bigger, they bought a guest house so we wouldn't be cramped into one house and it's currently occupied by Aunt Del, her family and Jay.
"At this age you two should be expecting children, not acting like them." Jess said as she sat between Nathan and I. Jess pulled put her phone and started texting someone. Jess told me that she had a boyfriend and of course she didn't want Nathan to know. After all he can get too protective.
"I am expecting a kid and so is Nathan." I replied.
"You are?" Jess asked turning her head to us and we just nodded. "Congrats. I've gotta go meet some friends." She got up and left with her phone. I knew that she wasn't going to meet some friends but her boyfriend.
"Do you guys have any good movies?" Jay asked he flipped through the channels.
"Let's watch Avatar!" Maddie exclaimed and started rummaging through the TV cabinet.
"Not again!" Nathan and I said at the same time.
"That's my girl!" Jay said proudly.
"I'm going to get popcorn." Niall said getting up.
"Bring back at least half a bowl!" Jay shouted as Niall left the room. Niall shrugged it off like he didn't hear.
"Can we watch something else?" I asked. I've seen Avatar too many times but to Jay it was like his first time.
"Like that footy match that you made me miss." Nathan said looking at me.
"Second thought, let's watch Avatar." I said. Between Avatar and a footy match, I'd pick Avatar. Football is basically people running around kicking a ball so they can score which I find extremely boring, Avatar has some imagination and creativity in it.
Nathan rolled his eyes then got up to leave so he could probably check on Liz. Liz didn't sleep very well last night so she's sleeping to make up for the loss sleep.
"I'm back!" Niall announced coming in with two bowls of popcorn in his hand. He placed one on the coffee table and the other in on my lap as he sat down next to me.
We watched the entire movie, again. I think I've memorised the entire movie by now. After the movie, we went over to the guess house for dinner.
I noticed that Jay was fiddling with his pockets and his face was sweating. What's up with him? I thought. When we entered the house, we were greeted by Aunt Del's big grin. She pulled every single one of us into a hug before letting us in.
We all took a seat at the fourteen seater dinning table. I sat in between E.J and Niall with Jay opposite of me. Jay looked nervous, I've seen him hanging out with Maddie and E.J and he wasn't nervous at all. So what could make him nervous?
Jay cleared his throat catching everyone's attention. "May I have everyone's attention please. Maddison Harper Jackson, I knew I was in love the minute I laid my eyes on you but I was nervous to ask you out. I may have performed in front of thousands before but every time I see your face, I can't find the perfect words to describe you. I love every single thing about you and you don't care about your flaws. Will you do the honours of making me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He got on a knee and pulled out a velvet box with a diamond ring inside.
Maddie looked speechless and her face was red. She was crying tears of happiness and vigorously nodded. "Yes, I will marry you!"
Well that's solves my problem. Jay proposed to Maddie. Awww...It was so sweet, it reminded me of the time when Niall proposed except that he proposed on hot air ballon but still romantic. It's only middle of December which means I won the bet but I'll be nice and not ruin the happy moment but I'm definitely getting the five pounds off Nathan later.
We celebrated their new engagement over dinner. Of course there were tons of questions but we're family, you can't stay mad at them for a long time.
I left the dinning room to put the dishes in the dishwasher 'cause who wants to wash dishes?
"Your family makes good food." Niall said as he helped me put in some dishes away.
"Yeah, my mom and my aunt are competitive when it comes to cooking." I replied. Remembering those times and Aunt Del would argue who's the better cook. After I put away all the dishes, I walked out of the kitchen and found out that my parents and Jess went home already and Nathan was talking to Jay.
"I believe you owe me five pounds from our bet." I said to Nathan as I joined him and Jay's conversation.
"What bet?" Jay asked as Nathan slaps a five pound bill on my hand.
"Apparently, these two made a bet about you proposing before the end of the year." Niall answered for us. Jay face palmed and we just gave a sheepish smile.
A/N: I'm uploading early because: 1) Nathan is back and he just got an Instagram account and it's Wanted Wednesday. 2) One Direction just launched their debut perfume . So big around of applause for both the bands.
