Phase Three: The Final Cut

Hello everyone!

Well, well, well, the Top 32. You guys should be SO proud of yourselves for making it this far in the competition!

When we started this contest, we honestly didn't think we'd get this level of talent. For a first cycle, it's pretty impressive. Thank you for making our very first cycle a huge hit! And it only continues...

16 people. 16 people will get the chance to battle it out and be mentored by one of us four judges in Phase Four: The Rounds. 16 people will get a shot to fight, conquer, and become Wattpad's Next Rising Star.

And there's only one Phase between you and that prospect.

Welcome to Phase Three.

For this new task, each of the judges has chosen a topic for you to propose an argument about. All you have to do is choose one of the four topics with the name of your judge(to each topic, a judge) and write a ONE PAGE one-shot about it. We know that it's not enough to write an argument about something, but if you make it through to the Top 16, you will be allowed more pages, but you have to actually get there for that.

So, once again, choose a topic with the corresponding judge and write a TITLED, one page one shot, arguing it. Keep in mind, your entry has to be written logically and has to be supported with good ideas, diverse structure, and creativity. Also, you are NOT permitted to use characters. It has to be an essay-type entry. No story, to plot to help you liven up your entries, it's just you and your writing, raw and straight-up.

REMINDER: One Wattpad page is 900 words on Microsoft Word, or a page and 1/3 on Microsoft Word.

Here are the judges' topics:

1) Monica: Does true love really exist?

2) Evie: Do Famous people take their money for granted?

3) Angel: Soulmates don't exist, prove me wrong.

4) Vico: Is everything pre-determined, or does volition play a role?

These are the topics and keep in mind that there are only 8 slots for every judge, so hurry up and post to claim your spot! After grading ends, we'll be calculating the total of every contestant from the beginning of the competition untul now(Phase One + Two + Three) and the 16 people with the highest total will form our Top 16, so give it your all. EVERY point counts and every flaw affects your grade, so be sure to make it your best entry yet.

As for the task, you might think it's easy, but trust us, once you get started, you'll start to see the difficulty in each topic. One trap in this task is that your entries could come out very blunt, boring, and dull. Let's see how you catch the readers' attention with tricky subjects. Remember to give your entry a Title! You'll lose 1/10 if you forget to give it one!

DEADLINE: March 13th, 2013. A whole week. Yes, you may submit on the 13th.
