Nadia Taylor
Los Angeles, CA"Nadi, I don't like him sorry." Destiny spoke as I started to unload the boxes that just came in from the warehouse in Houston. Ignoring her, I continued what I was doing and I know she was getting irritated about it. Destiny was the baby so she always wanted attention when she wanted it.
I knew it was a mistake venting to her about Isaiah and what happened in Houston.
"You think I should make the eye mask the next product or should I wait awhile to launch something else? It has been over a year since the last good product,"
"Nadia, I know you heard me."
"Destiny, I did and I don't give a fuck." I rolled my eyes and walked around her and started stocking the shelves. I'm so tired of my family getting in my relationships. I could see why they did it for Darrius but Chris was a big overstep of boundaries and now Isaiah. Especially my father, he was blowing me with this behavior.
"But I'm grown as hell and could date whoever I want and if y'all don't like that, then that's not my problem."
"Girl, please. They like him you see Demi and Dad already knew him, it's just me that's not fucking with him. I don't know he rubs me the wrong way,"
"Destiny, he plays football. Odell plays football and you loved him." I said stating the obvious to her.
"But Odell's different. We knew him for years,"
"Well, you won't have to worry about it because Isaiah and I aren't even official yet. We just kissed a few times that's it." I said a little attitude coming out which I'm sure she's caught. I frankly couldn't give a fuck though.
"So, y'all together? Because friends or whatever the fuck don't just "kiss" a few times."
"That yellow roach and I was fucking and sucking the skin off each other before we got together. It's very much possible to be intimate with someone and not be with them, Destiny." I told her and she was about to respond before she got cut by a voice calling my name. I turned around and was met with Chris's mother. A smile spread on my face and I walked towards her with my arms out.
"Mama J! It's been so long,"
"I know and you look just as pretty as the last time I seen you." I thanked her and pulled her over to a little seating area. "How've you been?"
"Surprisingly good. I'm really close to opening up internationally so that's a big step for me."
"Oh my goodness, congratulations. I know you were working your ass off to get that so I'm happy you finally got it. I'll have to fly over there and check it out."
Will, the man I had made my official UK business partner, had found a location in the good part of London to open up my store and it was so pretty and currently under renovation. I'm positive it'll be better than the first two here in LA and Houston but I was trying so hard for it so I don't really care about it being the better store or not.
