I knew beforehand that staying without Anisha would be difficult. We were so grown to being close to each other that staying without each other even for a week seemed like a damn difficult task.

Though the text messages, phone calls and face times helped us. But how much I missed having her in my arms was unexplainable.

Soo... Here I am. Back from Dubai - a day before. To Surprise my wife. The love of my life.

Anisha had told me yesterday that after spending two days at her parents home, she came to Malhotra house and was going to stay there until I came back. (Which she expects it to be tomorrow.)

So when my flight landed, I took a taxi to our home (Since I had the spare key), kept the suitcase and bag there, took a bath and changed into casuals and then drove my car to Malhotra house.

Once I reached, I parked the car and the watchman opened the door for me. I stepped inside and was about to take a look around when my eyes met Diya's. Her eyes widened in surprise and she was about to scream when I actioned her to shut up. She understood and ran towards me, throwing her hands around my stomach.

"How's my princess?" I asked in a low voice as I ruffled her hair and she hit my arm making me chuckle.

"Missed you." She pouted and I smiled nodding.

"Me too. Where's everyone?" I asked looking around finding complete silence in the entire house.

"Mom-dad have gone to temple. I am going to college. Ishaan is there too." She informed.

"And where is my lovely wife?" I smiled asking and she gave me those teasing eyes.

"She's in the kitchen. Anyways, I am getting late. Bye. Love you." She hugged me again and then ran out.

I couldn't even shout back a love you too because that would alert Anisha.

I tip toed towards the kitchen and as I reached, the beautiful sight of my wife came into my view.

She was wearing a pretty dark blue saree, her hair tied up in a bun yet most of the strands falling down from it. She was cooking something, humming some song.

She might have forgotten some ingredient as she frowned looking around for that. Gosh! How cute she looked.

She turned and that's when her eyes met mine and an immediate scream left her mouth as she jumped in - horror, not expecting someone to be watching her.

"Adi?" She mumbled a minute later after recovering from the shock, her hand still on her chest.

"Hi wifey." I folded my arms, smiling widely as I leaned on the doorframe of the kitchen, watching her reaction.

"You were going to come tomorrow." She said looking at my face as if checking if I was really there.

"Well, surprise!" I winked and a smile curved on her lips. She ran towards me and I opened my arms to wrap them around her.
