"What are you doing?" I asked Adi as I entered the kitchen to see him decorating two cups of hot coffee.
After the dinner, I had gone to my room to complete an online meeting, while Adi sat in the hall watching Tv.
The heavenly aroma of chocolate filled the kitchen as he grated lots of chocolate on top of the hot liquid.
"Some hot chocolate for the wifey." My eyes lit up when he lifted the two cups and passed me one of them, a charming smile on his face.
I muttered a small thanks, smiling as he put his arm around my shoulder and pulled us into the living room.
I sat down beside him, almost cuddled into him and he stared at me to see my reaction. My expression on taking the first sip might have told him that I loved it because his smile only widened looking at me.
And it made me happy as well.
The hot chocolate calmed my nerves and coaxed me to get cozy under a blanket that Adi now covered us with as something played on the Tv.
I took another sip of the hot chocolate and lifted my eyes to see Adi staring at me, scanning every inch of my face.
"You have something on your lip." He smirked when I raised my eyebrows. I raised my hand to wipe it but he held my wrist.
"Let me get that." He smiled and then leaned forward, closing the distance and connecting our lips.
He kissed me softly, patiently moving his lips against mine. There were times like these when he loved being all soft.
A few seconds were gone when he pulled back and laid his forehead against mine. He kissed my cheek before lifting his head to look at me.
I smiled but it was gone when I saw him looking at me with guilt in his eyes and his face upset.
"What happened?" I asked him, placing the cup on the table and holding his face in between my palms.
"I.. I had to tell you something." He said looking anywhere but me and I frowned at his sudden dull voice.
"Tell me. I'm here." I told him and he looked at me again.
"I don't know how you are going to react to this but... I told you about the Shukla's meeting remember?" He asked me and I nodded immediately. He told me about it two weeks back.
