Thank you Eliza!!!

Erin's jaw drops as she realizes the words Alexia just blurted out.

There she was, in shock, her toes touching the ground of the pool, while her arms slowly moved through the cold water. In fact, Erin swore she heard her heartbeat. She felt her heart vibrating inside her chest.

By the time she looks back up, Alexia was gone.

As if the captain had disappeared from the blink of an eye, she went inside. She must be regretting her earlier decision. Maybe Alexia should've just stayed in her room. Blinds down. Lights off. The blanket over her head. Maybe some music. Loud music. Or perhaps no music at all. Silence. Silence sounds good.

Darkness. And silence.

But even in a sheltered environment, Alexia was sure that all her thoughts would circle around Erin anyway. But Alexia will have to get used to it as long as she's staying in this villa. Under the same roof as Erin.

Thinking about that stunning blonde probably didn't hurt as much as facing her.

With a sorrowful expression, the captain slams the door shut behind her, and then lowers the blinds in frustration. As planned, she switches off the lights, before slipping straight under the comforter.

However, it wasn't long before a pair of fingertips was heard tapping on the captain's door softly. It was so quiet that it was hardly noticeable.

"Ale?", a calm, yet concerned voice follows.

The brunette sighs, turns towards the door, and then peers out from under her blanket and towards the small gap that separated the floor from the door. And for a moment she hoped the voice she heard was imagined, but two shadows of feet visible under the light quickly proved that she was mistaken.

"I'm not in the mood, Leila", Alexia mumbles in return, rolling her eyes as she hears the winger chuckling outside.

"Are we pouting?", the winger teases, holding her ear against the door with a soft smile, yet with a concerned expression, as she once again taps her fingertips against the wooden door.

"No... I'm exhausted. Leave me alone. I wanna be alone", Alexia complains, becoming grumpy as she watches how the door handle is slowly pushed down, but without the door ever opening.

For a moment, there was silence.

"I'm coming in now", Leila announces. Not that the midfielder had expected anything else.

What else should Leila do with the door handle? Dismantle it?

"The door is locked", Alexia groans, grumpily furrowing her brows as her mind pleads for Leila not to enter.

But that didn't work.

The door slowly opens, just a gap, before Leila pokes her head inside and then quickly slips into the room, shutting the door behind her.

"The door's not locked. Unless I have magical powers", Leila chuckles, quickly orients herself in the darkness of Aleixa's room, before she manages to find her way to the athlete's bed.

Without any warning, she plops down on the mattress beside Alexia, and makes herself comfortable with a couple of cushions.

"So, Ale... what's wrong? You've been so tense ever since you arrived here yesterday. You got drunk last night. All alone. You've never done that before. You didn't get up early this morning. And you just left the group and holed up in your room instead", Leila whispers, gazing up at the ceiling while listening to Alexia's shaky breathing.
