Time to get to work!
I picked up my hammer set up against the wall, next to the door leading outside of the dorm."I'll make sure they get home safe! You can rely on me!" Kanik nods and waves as I exit the dorm and begin to make my way down the hallway and to the elevator. The red velvet carpet with golden patterns seemed to glisten under the lights inserted into the ceilings. Most people aren't able to realize the beauty of the dorm building, but I think it's rather nice!
My eyes stayed glued on the floor as I walked, sliding my feet to the golden, flowing patterns and completely oblivious to the fact there was someone in front of me. I bump into them. Their head hits my chest. "Ah! I'm so sorry!" The girl stumbles back. She had short black hair and beautiful blue eyes, ones that you could easily get lost in if you stared at them for too long. She was wearing all sleepwear, her sweater looking a little too large for her, and her pink slippers slightly coming off as she regained her balance. Honestly, her whole look is kinda cute!
The girl adjusts her sleeping mask which has closed eyes designs on them. She mumbles. "Cushiony.." The girl blinks and looks up at me, a tired look on her face but also quite surprised. "Oh- No you're fine. I just woke up anyway. Probably should've stored up some more energy." Energy? What a strange little girl...
"Oh!- I'm Alice. What are you doing waking up at this time?" Perhaps her sleep schedule is disarranged? I couldn't imagine waking up late at night. Maybe she's an animal-based species that are nocturnal? I don't see any animalistic traits though. Hmmm... How strange.
"Hm? Alora..." The girl yawns and rubs her eyes. "I dunno, I just woke up," Alora says slowly, eying my left arm. "You're one of the scarlet people, right? Mind if I tag along? I heard there's action wherever you guys go." Alora says with the sweetest smile on her face. I look away and cover my face. How adorable!
I clear my throat and pick up my hammer again. "I don't mind at all! In fact, I'm meeting with another member right now. I advise you to step back from him when we get there, though-" I chuckle lightly as I press the down button next to the elevator. The girl nodded as she stared at my hammer. At this point, I'm already quite used to the attention people give it.
Ding! The elevator arrives at our floor and we both step inside. I pressed the button for the ground floor and the elevator immediately started to go down. We both stayed awkwardly silent during the entire time, the only thing able to be heard is the quiet elevator music overshadowing the outer noises of the elevator. I feel like I should say something, but Alora already seems too tired to engage in conversation. It's a shame, really. I'd love to get to know her better.
Ding! We arrive at the first floor and step out of the elevator, the lights reflecting off the large crystal chandelier and hitting our faces. "Why, hello, you two!" I look over at the front desk to see Mr. Draugar, the ghost receptionist of the dorm building. I bowed, placing a closed fist on my chest. "Hello, sir." Mr. Draugar chuckled. "Oh please, no need for such formalities. Are you looking for TJ? Saw him walking out with that Blaze fellow." I nod. "Yup! Kanik said I should make sure that he gets back after he settles his business with Blaze."
After the idle chatter, I figure that I should probably head out to check on the other two, hopefully, TJ hasn't murdered him yet. After nudging Alora to go outside with me, we eventually walk out to see Blaze and TJ, and just as I expected, fighting it out. Or... on second thought, it seemed a little one-sided. Both of them launched attacks at each other, TJ landing most of them and dealing a considerable amount of damage, while Blaze... wasn't really following up that well.
