Five Months Later
Mia's POV
The wedding has finally arrived. Kara and my aunt are doing the finishing touches on my hair and makeup before it starts.
"You look so beautiful, Mia. I hope I look this good for my wedding," my sister says. I laugh.
"You're too sweet, Kara." I mutter.
I'm so nervous. Ever since Joe reproposed to me, he's been the same Joe that I fell in love with, but I'm afraid that he'll turn back to a selfish jerk. Kara keeps telling me that it's not gonna happen and that everything will be just fine. I'm sure she's right, but I still worry.
When we're finished, it's time for the wedding to begin. My uncle offered to walk me down the aisle and I'm so thankful that I have my uncle here with me. I can feel tears falling down my cheeks. I swear they're tears of happiness.
I can see that Joe's crying too and comforts me that I'm not the only one who is crying.
I stand in front of the alter with Joe. I place my hands in Joe's and holds tightly to them.
"You look amazing, Mia." He whispers. I smile.
"You're not too bad yourself, Joe."
We go through our vows and exchange rings and it's finally time for Joe to kiss the bride. Joe pulls me into his arms and dips me slightly, kissing me on the lips. Everyone cheers around us and he take hands, running down the aisle together.
I can't believe that I'm married to Joe Burrow. I'm officially Mia Burrow now.
Joe's POV
At the reception, Mia and I have our first dance together as newly weds with everyone watching us. I never want to let go of her and I can't believe that she's my wife.
When the father daughter dances comes up, Mia is crying profusely, missing her parents. Her uncle dances with her and he comforts her as they dance together. I dance with my mother while Mia dances with her uncle.
When that dance is over, the songs become upbeat. Kara joins us Mia and I on the dance floor and we all dance to Footloose and Cupid Shuffle and so on.
As the reception comes to a close, Mia and I sit outside, admiring the night sky. Tomorrow, we're taking a plane to Paris, France for our honeymoon, but, for now, we're just soaking in every moment together.
Kara sits down next to Mia and Mia wraps her arm around her sister.
"Aren't you supposed to be with aunt Mary?" Mia asks. Kara nods.
"Yeah. She said she'd wait for me. I just wanted to say goodbye. I guess I'll see you guys in like a two weeks?"
"Yeah. We'll be back in two weeks. I love you, Kara." Mia says with a smile. Kara smiles.
"I love you too, Mia."
"Hey. Don't I get any love? I'm your new brother in law," I say teasingly at Kara. Kara laughs and walks over to give me a hug.
"Sorry. I love you too, Joe." Kara mutters. I nod.
"Ditto, Kara." I say with a smirk. Kara laughs as she waves goodbye to us before leaving.
Mia leans up against me and sighs.
"I'm so excited to go to Paris tomorrow. It's so beautiful there and I've always wanted to go," she says with a smile. I nod.
"Yeah. It's gonna be great. Just you and me in beautiful Paris, France. The city of love,"
