Nine Months Later
Mia's POV
The Super Bowl is here once again and the Bengals have made it for the third year in a row. Despite Joe insisting that I stay home, I turn him down, arguing that I have to watch my husband play in his last game of the season.
By now, I look like I'm ready to pop and the baby could come any day now. We found out a couple weeks ago that we're having a girl. I'm super excited and so is Joe.
When we told Kara that she's gonna have a little niece, she was just as excited as we are.
Kara and I are on the sidelines watching the football game right now. I'm technically on maturity leave right now, but I insisted on being on the field to watch the game.
Joe jogs off the field to switch up with the defense. He walks over to me and gives me a hug.
"How's my baby girl doing?" He says as he places his gloved hands on my belly.
"She's perfect. Now go sit with your team," I say with a smile. Joe kisses me on the cheek and jogs over to the bench to chat with the team.

The Bengals win the game, 45 - 28. I cheer with excitement and then realize that something's wrong. I place my hand on my stomach and I feel my water break. I look over at an overly excited Kara and her smile fades when she realizes what's going on.
Joe's POV
I'm standing up on a stage with my team and I'm getting interviewed by Terry Bradshaw. Kara sprints towards the stage and runs up the stairs. We all stop talking and stare at her. Kara grabs my arm and pulls me down to her level. She whispers in my ear and my eyes grow wide.
"I'm sorry, Terry. I have to go. My wife's having a baby," I say into the microphone before running down the stairs and towards Mia.
Before Mia can protest, I scoop her up into my arms and run out of the stadium. Since we're not in Cincinnati, I have no form of transportation. Thankfully, a kind football fan allows us to use their car. I promise them that I'll give it back after tonight. They just need to stop by the hospital in the morning.
"I was kind of hoping that our little girl wouldn't be a Super Bowl baby," Mia mutters from the passenger seat as she breathes in and out quickly. I shrug.
"Me neither, but it's fine. It makes my night even more eventful," I say, placing a hand on Mia's shoulder and squeezing it lightly.
"Hurry up, Joe, before Mia has my niece in the car!" Kara shouts frantically. I sigh and shake my head.
"Why'd we have to bring Kara?" I ask.
"Because she has nowhere else to go," Mia replies before groaning in pain and clenching her stomach. "But she's right. How much longer till we get to the hospital?"
"Soon. According to the gps, we have like five more minutes till we get there."
"That's good because my contractions are getting closer together," Mia says before shouting in pain.
"Okay. I'm hurrying. I can only go so fast," I add as I press my foot further into the gas petal.
Mia's POV
After we get to the hospital, I'm wheeled into a room and I'm helped into a hospital bed. I change into a hospital gown and lay back down in the bed.
"Joe, take Kara out of the room please." I say. Joe nods.
"You got it. I'll be back soon,"
"Why can't I stay with you guys?" Kara whines.
"Because, it's not for your eyes to see. Just stay down in the food court for a while. I'll text you when the baby is born, okay?" Joe explains. Kara nods.
