Joe's POV
We beat the Kansas City Chiefs 37 - 35. It was a close game, but we fought till the end.

After the game, I notice Travis Kelce trying to get to Mia. When he tries to flirt with her, Mia looks uncomfortable and annoyed.

I'm not one to start fights or anything, but seeing Travis Kelce flirt with Mia makes my blood boil. I storm over to Travis and stand between him and Mia. Travis looks pretty annoyed when I do that.

"Back off, Kelce. She already told you she wasn't interested," I snap. Travis chuckles.

"Why? Is she off limits?" He asks. Then he smirks. "Oh wait. She's not. She broke up with you two days ago. That means that she's available,"

"Look, she may have broke up with me, but it was only because I was acting like you! A self centered jerk!" I snap. Mia is still standing behind me and I notice a shocked expression on her face.

Mia's POV
I'm surprised by what Joe just said. Joe knows that he was a selfish jerk and he wants to fix it.

Travis looks livid, but, before he can say anything, Patrick Mahomes walks over and gives Joe a bro hug.

"Hey man. Good game today. Hopefully we'll beat you when you guys come to Kansas City," he says with a smile. Joe nods.

"Yeah. Or we'll beat you again," Joe comments with a smirk. Patrick laughs.

"Yeah. Maybe,"

"See you around, Mahomes." Joe mutters as he shakes Patrick's hand. Patrick nods.

"Yeah. See you around, Burrow."

Patrick walks away and takes Travis with him which I'm thankful for.

Joe turns around to face me and he smiles at me. I smile back and Joe grabs my hand.

"Mia, I'm sorry for being so selfish before. It wasn't me. I realize that now," Joe explains. I smile and nod. Joe holds out my engagement ring. "I love you, Mia. I always did and I always will. Will you take this ring back and be my wife?"

I stare at the ring and I'm not sure what to say or do. I want to marry Joe, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to take the ring back yet.

"I... don't know. I love you too, but I think we need to sort of start over. Can we at least go out on a date tomorrow or something?" I ask. Joe nods.

"Yeah. I understand. Pick you up at six?"

"Sure. Sounds great," I say. Joe smiles.

"Awesome. I'll see you later, Mia. Love you," Joe says as he kisses me on the cheek.

"Love you too," I mutter with a smile.

Kara runs over to me, her eyes wide with excitement.

"No way! Are you guys back together now?!" She asks. I laugh and nod.

"I think so. We're going out on a date tomorrow and then I might have that ring on my finger again," I reply. My sister frowns.

"Why do you want to go out on a date before you get the ring back?" Kara asks. I shrug.

"Because I feel like it would be weird if we didn't go out on a date before he proposed again," I say. Kara nods.

"That's true,"

I'm glad that Joe and I are okay again. I don't think I could have lasted a week without him and I think the same goes for him too.

Joe's POV
"She didn't immediately take the ring back?! Why?" Sam asks. Ja'Marr and Sam are both in front me, hanging on every word of what I'm saying.

"She thinks that we need to sort of start over and go out on a date again before she puts the ring back on and we become a couple again," I reply. Ja'Marr shrugs.

"Seems somewhat reasonable, I guess." He mutters.

"Where should I take her?" I ask.

"I don't know. Maybe take her out to eat at the restaurant where you had your first date," Ja'Marr suggests. I nod.

"Okay. I like that idea. Thanks Ja'Marr,"

"Don't mention it,"

Mia's POV
"How do I look?" I ask as I twirl in my dress in front of my aunt and Kara.

"You look awesome," Kara says with a smile. My aunt nods.

"What your sister said," she adds with a laugh.

"Thanks," I say.

The doorbell rings downstairs and I hear my uncle answer it. It's Joe and my uncle is chatting with him.

"Well, wish me luck." I say with a smile. Kara gives me a hug and pointed look.

"You better come home with that ring back on your finger," my sister mutters. I nod.

"I'll try. It all depends on how the night goes,"

"It'll go just fine. I'm sure of it," my aunt says as she gives me a hug. I smile.

"Thanks, aunt Mary." I whisper.

I go downstairs and Joe is waiting for me. He's wearing a suit with the first three buttons of his collared shirt left unbuttoned. I'm wearing an orange dress similar to the one I wore for our first date. Joe smiles when he sees me.

"Wow. You look amazing, Mia."

"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself. Ready to go?" I ask. Joe nods.

"Yeah,"

Joe links arms with me and we walk out of my aunt and uncle's house. Joe opens the passenger door of his orange Acura and I sit down in the car. He closes the door and then gets in on the driver's side.

I'm so ready for this date to begin.

Joe's POV
We hit it off at dinner which I knew we would. After dinner, I take Mia to the Paycor stadium as a surprise.

I walk her out to the center of the dark, empty field and get down on one knee. The spotlights turn on and Mia looks over at me.

Once again, I'm holding up Mia's engagement ring between my fingers and I have a smile on my face. Mia's eyes are wide and she looks to be on the verge of tears. I begin reciting the exact same thing I said the last time I proposed to her at the Super Bowl last year.

"Mia Bennett, I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

After I ask it, I shut my eyes, fearing the worst. I shouldn't be afraid that Mia'll say no, but I am.

"Yes!" Mia shouts. I sigh in relief as Mia jumps into my arms. I slip the ring onto Mia's finger once again and she has the same tear filled smile on her face as the last time I proposed to her.

"Let's go home," I say. Mia nods.

"I couldn't agree more,"
