FORLORN
Arman gets home earlier than their meet up time. He goes straight to the kitchen counter and drops the grocery bags he has picked up on the way home. Here goes his perseverance again, pushing him to prepare something special for Sandra. He wants to impress her, just like before. Back when things were running smooth and fine; back when no infidelities involved; back when he would make efforts then she would appreciate it; back when 'I love you' was their conversation starter.
He sighs heavily and takes out the utensils that he will be needing out of the cupboard. There is only one recipe that always makes Sandra smile from ear to ear - His homemade Sinigang. And she quotes " This is why I always fall in love with you everyday."
"Her smile is a ray of sunshine," he tells himself.
"Ganda ng ngiti natin, sir a! Ano pong meron?" His fantasy has been cut off immediately by the housekeepers' utterance. Margaret teases him, as she walks in along with Lynn and Manang Mina.
"Ha? wala..." He resumes doing the food preparation as if he is really paying his attention to it.
"Ngiti niyo about hanggang sa ceiling ng bahay, tapos wala lang?" Lynn comments
"Hindi. We're having a dinner date kasi mamaya" He is forced to confess. He could not lie though, by the way his eyes say he is really inspired.
The three give him a look and make an "Ahhh" sound expression.
"Gusto niyo po ng tulong, sir?" -Margaret
"No, I'm good. I can handle it myself." He smiles and he starts preparing the ingredients.
"E' sir, let us help you at least. Para naman kaming others niyan e'" -Lynn
"Armando, gusto rin naman naming mapasaya si Sandy. Pagbigyan mo na kami." -Aling Mina
"O sige na nga, ang lakas niyong tatlo sa 'kin e"
And they start preparing...
Filet Mignon is also one of Sandra's favourite and so he has decided to cook it as well. Manang Mina is with Arman, doing the two recipes while Lynn and Margaret are in charge with the setting of the dinner table.
"Siya nga pala, nasaan yung mga bata?"
"Kasama nila Pedring at Fredo (driver). Gusto daw kasi ipasyal ni Lisa kaya sinamahan nila. Mukhang alam niya ata yung dinner date niyo ngayon."
" That's great. At least kung mauwi man sa away, hindi makikita ng mga bata."
"Si sir naman. You're jumping into conclusion agad." - Margaret
"Wow, big word. Spell conclusion?" - Lynn
" Wakas na lang" and they both laugh.
"Kayo talagang dalawa, puro kayo kalokohan" - Aling Mina
"Sir kasi, think positive naman. I'm sure magugustuhan ni Ma'am Sandra 'to pero syempre hindi yun magpapahalata kasi nga kunwari galit pa siya pero deep inside kinikilig na siya" And there Margaret receives a poke from Lynn. "Aray naman Lynn, nakakasakit ka na a!"
"Huy! gumising ka nga.."
"Di ba ganun naman sa mga teleserye, may mga pakipot effect pa?"
"Loka loka. E ikaw 'tong gumagawa ng kalalabasan agad e"
"Wow, ang lalim ng kalalabasan. Nahiya naman ako sa pagkamakata mo." -Margaret
" Kung inaayos niyo na kaya yung lamesa para matapos na agad?" -Manang Mina
