Feeling offended is a complex emotional state involving personal factors (gender, self-esteem) that can modulate it on the basis of different expectations or causal attributions (internal or external); but it also involves relational factors that affect the interpretation of the offense, since the offenders can be relatives, friends, acquaintances, co-workers, each implying different emotional costs.

The multidimensional factors that characterize this feeling have been investigated in various psychological fields, in terms of the dynamic approach to social psychology.

In a social psychology research, the feeling of offense has been viewed so far as typically triggered by a blow to a person's honor, hence to his/her public persona; yet this painful emotion, beside nicking the reputation and self-concept of the offended person, is often felt also in interpersonal relationships, that it finally may seriously disrupt.

Yi Young pushed Yeonjun off his hug as her feet made their way towards the table next to the book shelf in the tiny apartment's right corner. Eunhye had sat there, writing something on Yeonjun's notebook until their conference was disrupted by the calling bell. She sat in a fix, staring at the puff of bussy permed hair, glitter all over her body and some small garments covering her unmentionable parts.

"Who ar you?!" Yi Young yelled.

"Dr Eunhye Sim." Eunhye stated, sitting straight across the woman. She pulled her legs on top of eachother. Yeonjun had seen his mother sit that way.

"Well- why are you here? This early at a man's house?!" Yi Young, though a little intimidated, kept her voice high.

Eunhye did not bother to answer the question. She looked at her phone screen, what a perfect time to bother someone! She had thought. Yi Young repeated the question again when Eunhye looked back up at her. Her eyes darted from her screen to the woman in front, as if scanning her and comparing her to some information on her phone.

"That's my dress, you slut! You stole it! Give it back!" Eunhye hit Yi Young's hand away before it grabbed her by the dress's collar. Yeonjun had almost lost his breath but remained quiet. A commotion between two women must not be entertained by a man. It's injurious for health.

"Hello, to begin our conversation, I prefer you to not use any derogatory terms and remarks. You will not like it if I begin speaking." Her voice stern, she had her long fingers wrapped around Yi Young's wrist, grabbed on tightly. A little more force can possibly cause a fracture in her radiocarpal joint.

"Leave me, you bitch!" Yi Young struggled to pull her hand apart. In the struggle, the piece of fabric covering her breast cavity loosened. Eunhye wanted to do something but stopped her sinister brains from going further with the thought.
