It wasn't my fault.

They,

They called me names.

They said I was,

Hot-headed,

A brute,

Just because I had a terrible temper...

Because I killed,

Because of who I was,

Prince of cats,

I could cut through flesh with my rapier as if it was paper,

If I really wanted too,

But I won't,

Because that would be my fault.

But this, disaster I've created,

Its not my fault,

I deny to think it was,

Let them all talk if they wish,

It wasn't my fault.

It wasn't my fault,

She slipped.

It wasn't my fault,

My blade was pointed in the open.

It wasn't my fault,

Her blood splattered against the cold cement flooring of Verona.

It wasn't my fault,

My arm slipped, swinging my blade against her flesh.

It wasn't my fault,

But to them it was,

The nerve,

It wasn't my fault I was born a little too mad.

Anger boiling inside was just something I lived with.

Like everyone else.

What?

We aren't all peachy.

We make mistakes.

We hurt others,

And they hurt us,

But that's not a crime,

That's part of life,

But murdering is a crime?

Last time I checked,

Words are more powerful then any knife or gun,

But no,

Not a crime to rip out ones heart with your words.

You know?

So what if I murdered,

Murder wasn't my fault.

I may be in this cell,

But Lady Capulet will get me out.

Of course she will,

She knows,

This wasn't my fault.

And when I'm out,

I'll kill again,

And like every other time.

It won't be my fault,

Because, it wasn't my fault.
