Adele's POV:

As I rolled over to my left side, I slowly opened my eyes only to be blinded by the small sunrays shining through the blinds. I looked at the clock on the nightstand to see that it was 8 in the morning.

I rolled over to my other side, only to be met by the eyes of my love. We just stared at each other for a short while before his incredibly deep, husky voice broke the silence.

"Morning, Laurie," he said, pulling me closer to him. I buried my face into his bare chest and replied with a smile, "Morning, Christopher." He pulled out of the hug only to look at me very confused.

"Christopher?" He asked with his eyebrows all scrunched up and a smirk smeared on his face. "You haven't called me that in years."

"Well, I think I should start calling you that again," I said, pinching his nose and detangling myself from the sheets.

"Hey," Simon pulled me by the arm, causing me to fall onto his chest. "Where's my morning kiss?" He said, combing my hair out of my face.

"Here," I said, pecking his cheek and jumping up as quickly as I can.

"Adele." He groaned. "You have morning breath; you can't blame me, Si." I said while cackling and going into the bathroom.

I start getting ready for the day by taking a shower and quickly get dressed. I don't bother with my makeup because I know Simon loves me just the way I am, including my kids.

Speaking of my kids, I hear music coming from downstairs. I start walking towards the kitchen. I hear a very familiar tune starting to play. I sprint towards the kitchen and start singing.

"Yeah, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want."

"So tell me what you want, what you really, really want," Lia sang back with no hesitation.

"I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want." I grabbed the spoon and used it as a microphone.

"So tell me what you want, what you really, really want." Lia started dancing around the table. Then Lia and I started singing back and forth.

"I wanna."

"I wanna."

"I wanna."

"I wanna."

"I really, really, really wanna zigazig ah." We sang at the same time.

We both burst out into fits of laughter.

"That was perfect timing, Mum," Lia said with a smile. "I know, right?" I said with confidence.

"Anyway, I made breakfast," she said while placing the heaven-made food on the table.

"Crumpets!" I yelled.

As I yelled that word, I heard two pairs of feet stomping and stumbling down the stairs towards the kitchen.

"Did I hear crumpets?" Angelo yelled with pure excitement.

"You most certainly did." I said with a smirk.

"Our favourite," Simon said.

"That's why I made it, duh," Lia replied with a proud smirk.

"I'm so happy you're back home," I said while hugging her from behind.

"Me too. Even though the whole experience was exciting, I missed you guys a lot. A year is way too long away from you guys," she said turning around and hugging me back.

"When will you be going back?" Angelo asked while taking a seat at the table.

"Probably in 4 months. I have a few things I need to do in LA anyway, and..." She hesitantly ends her sentence.

"And?" I asked.

"I kind of need your help, Mum." I knew exactly what she was anticipating, but I wanted to hear her say it.

"With?" I asked with an amused smirk.

She gives me a death stare because I know she hates asking for help, "Can you help me with my album, please."

I squeal in excitement while jumping up and down. "Of course I will, honey. I've been waiting for this moment ever since I caught you in the music room."

"Yeah, yeah, I know," she said with a smile. "But please, the public can't know, Mum." She said sternly. "Yeah, of course they can't," I agreed.

"Wait, why not?" Simon asked in confusion. "Don't you think more people will listen to your album if they know 'Adele' helped with it?" He continued.

"That's exactly what I want to avoid, Dad. I don't want people to think that my success was based on Mum; I want to be an independent artist. Plus, if the public finds out that I'm 'Adele's' daughter, then people are 100% going to base me on Mum's success, and they are going to assume that I'm just going into the industry because I have nothing better to do and 'mummy' is helping me to determine my success. I know the whole process, Dad; I want to do this on my own. Which is why I'm only using 'Lia' as my stage name, not 'Lia Adkins.'" She finished her little rant.

"Si, I 100% agree with Lia on this one. If I were in her position, I would've done the exact same thing. It's kind of a miracle how after 4 years the public still doesn't know that Li is our daughter. I want to keep it that way until Lia has built a strong, respected and independent name for herself. Of course, I'll help along the way, but not too much," I said with confidence.

"Okay, yeah, I understand now. It's funny how they think that Lia is just Angelo's Au-Pair," Simon said while chuckling.

"Hey!" Angelo punched Simon's shoulder. "That's not funny; I'm old enough to look after myself," he said annoyed.

"You're 14, Angelo; you can't look after yourself, trust me," Lia said while trying to hold in her laughs.

"Yeah, and you're 20, and you still don't know how to boil pasta correctly," he said with a smirk. Lia was about to launch at him, but I quickly caught her.

"Not so fast, Missy. If the truth is the truth, then there's no hard feelings," I joked. She gives me a death stare and pinches me.

"Ouch!" I said grabbing my left arm.

"Hahahaha." She laughed sarcastically. "Oh, you're gonna get it!" I yelled.

"Oi, we don't have time, Del." Simon said while grabbing me by my waist.

"Oh yeah, we're gonna be late. Come on, guys, go get dressed," I said to the kids.

"Where are we going?" Angelo asked in confusion.

"It's a surprise," Simon said with a smile, pulling me onto his lap.

"Ugh, I hate surprises," he responded. "I know you do, now go get dressed," I said with a giggle.
