"Y/N Wake up your going be late for your first day of work!" You hear your room mate, Jesse yell.
"Five more minutes!" You groan out, pulling your warm blue blanket over your head.
"Nope!" She yells now jumping on top of you. "Get up get up get up!"
"FINE!" You scream aggitated now as you throw Jesse to your side.
You get out of bed, and make you way to your small kitchen. Which you hate, but it will have to do for now until you catch your 'big break'. You began to pour yourself a cup of coffee as Jesse walks in.
"Stop being so grumpy!" She yells playfully grabbing the cup you had just poured, and taking it for herself.
You just ignore her, and pour yourself another. You don't bother to add anything to it.. Their wouldn't be anytime to properly enjoy it. You had to be at work in an hour.
"You do know that Sarah Paulson.. Is going to be there working right? You know the woman you have secret lesbian crush on?" Jesse blurts out, laughing now.
"Can you shut your big mouth for ten minutes?!" You yell back setting your mug down on the counter. You rush back to your room and begin to get ready. After ten minutes standing in front of your closet you decide on some black leggings, and an over sized white sweater.
You brush your hair out and pull it into a ponytail. Then you move to your makeup. You keep it light and natural; you never went to extreme anyway. Only applying some mascara, eyeliner, and some shear lip gloss. After your routine you pulled on some black combat styled boots, and grabbed your phone and purse. As you begin to walk out the door you can hear Jesse talking to someone on her phone. "And she told me to shut my big.." You stop listening as you slam the door shut behind you.
Your rode in a taxi for 25 minutes until you finally made it to the theater. You pay what you owed the driver, and went around the back as you were instructed by the email you had received days prior. You knock on the big double doors and immediately it swings open.
"Hello you must be Y/N!" An older man yelled excitedly motioning for you to come in so you do.
"Well Y/N my name is Bryan Tarlen I'm kind of the director over the stagehands." He said flashing a toothy smile, "Well follow me, and I'll show you the ropes." He continued down a long hall, and you followed as he rambled on.
"Now to the rules.."
"Rules?" You asked realizing that was the only thing you had heard from him for the past five minutes.
"Yes rules.. Number 1 we don't talk to the actors, and actresses unless spoken to directly..Number 2 Get your job done, but stay out of the way..."
He continued but you were now tuning him out. You aren't sure what was longer the hallway you were being led down or his annoying ranting.
"Y/N are you listening?"
"Mhm" You hum at Bryan. You have both stopped now, and were standing in front of an office.
"Good.. Okay you are going need to sign some paper work.."
You just nod in a agreement as he opens the door for you to enter.
Bryan ran to what you assumed was his desk, and grab two papers then a pen."Here ya go! Just sign these, and we shouldn't have any problems. One is a liability waver, and the other is basically you stating you agree with our rules here." He said handing you the documents. You take them and quickly sign them.
"Alright let's put you to work!" Bryan yells throwing the papers on his desk then pulling your arm out the door. He finally let's go, and begins to ramble again.
"I think I should put you on.. Hmmm.. SCENERY DUTY!" He says excitedly.
You throw up a sarcastic fist bump, but Bryan doesn't notice."Faith come here!" He waves to someone. "Our new stagehand is here." He yells to Annie visible woman with long red hair. As she made her way over to you. You notice she had different hues of brown paint all over her and her clothes.
"Hiya! I'm Faith.." She says in a thick southern accent. Now she was holding her paint covered hand out for you to shake. You grab it anyway shaking it lightly.
"Nice to meet you," You smile politely. "I'm Y/N."
"That's a beautiful name! Well let's get started shall we?" Faith says pulling you along with her.
"First you can help me paint." Faith says pulling you to a large tree prop.
"We dont usually have to paint, but our prop guys didn't get this done. So I agreed to help." She explains while handing you a paint brush."I love to pa-" You were suddenly interrupted by someone bumping into you causing you to almost fall, but you caught yourself.
"What the hell?" You hear someone yell from behind you.
You turn around slowly.. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion now.
Out of the corner of your eye you see a tall blonde headed woman. Your body is fully turned now and your eyes rake over the woman's body, but it wasn't just any 'woman'- it's Sarah Paulson. Standing right in front of you in all of her awe and beauty. Your attention is quickly averted from her face to her clothes. Her shirt was covered with deep, brown paint."I'm so s-" You began but your quickly cut off by the woman's gasp.
"You're sorry!?" The woman you've known to be your idol was now screaming at you. "Stupid fucking stagehand." She mumbled about to walk off, but you were furious.
"WAIT!" You scream pulling her back with your hand. "Listen here, 'SARAH', I didn't mean to get paint on you, but you were the one who bumped into me.. So, don't call me stupid," You ground out. "I dont work for you."
Sarah stood in front of you..Speechless her cheeks had become flushed with red, and embarrassment. She finally turned around and walked away.
"Ya' seriously didn't tell Sarah Paulson off did ya?" Faith asks staring at you now.
"I guess I did." You whisper then begin to paint. You couldn't believe what you did either. All your life Sarah has been your inspiration.. Your goals as an actress.. Hell as a person, but now you weren't so sure.

-After work-
Your dirty, sweaty and covered in paint. It had been a really long day, and all you wanted to do was sleep it off. So, you make your way through the theater then into the lobby."Hey wait up!" You hear someone yell behind you, but your not sure who it was directed towards so you just continue to walk.
"Please stop!" You hear the voice yell again just as you were about to reach the double doors. You finally turn around to see Sarah.
"I see you can change a shirt." You pop off sarcastically as she makes her way over to you.
"I manage.. Look um.. What's your name?" She asks, directly in front of you now.
"Y/N"
"Well Y/N I'm so sorry for acting the way I did. That was a complete bitch move and I'm sorry." Sarah says in her familiar, warm tone.
"It's fine," You simply say almost teasing her. You didn't want to give her the full satisfaction of being forgiven.. yet.
"Can I make it up to you?" The older woman asks softly. "Maybe we can got out to eat sometime?" She suggests.
"Thanks," You shrug your shoulders. "but no thanks." You say with slight sass in your tone.
"Hm well how about I give you my number, and when you decide to stop being mad at me. We can go out to eat." She says pulling out a piece of paper, and handing it to you. It already had digits on it. You stared down at the slip of paper for what seemed an eternity before looking back up, but Sarah was already gone.
You left the theater the paper still clenched tightly in your hand, and went to the small two bedroom apartment you called "home".(Tell me what you guys think ❤ Im really excited about this fanfic! )
