It has been three weeks since the incident and you have done nothing but work. Because when you were working, you didn't replay scenarios over and over in your head. Or hate yourself for what you did to the one you loved the most. And you got to see Sarah act. The very thing that caught your attention about Sarah from the beginning. The blonde always acted with such flawlessness. No matter what was going on around her. She always could stay in perfect character. This was the only time you could have somewhat of a conversation with the actress.
When you were home you two didn't speak much. Sarah was still trying to forgive you for all that happened. Which you understood completely but it was becoming increasingly difficult not to talk, hold, or love the woman like you use to.
"Hey y/n.. We need your help with the curtains." Heather, one of the other stagehands, stated.
You walk over to the three stagehands surrounding the rope that held back the large red curtain. The yellow rope had some how tangled itself into one big knot, and no one seemed to be able to get it out. You grabbed the thick string and tugged at it. Trying to loosen its grip from the curtain. But nothing. After several minutes of struggling with the object you felt someone's hands clasp over your own before helping you untie the knot. You turn to meet Sarah's beautiful, brown eyes. Your heart flips in your chest. You haven't felt Sarah's touch since you held her in her living room weeks prior.
"Thank you." You whisper. Her hands pulled away and a faint smile spreads across her face. Then she walked away. Without a word.
.
.
.
"Lily quit the play." Sarah stated as she pulled out of the parking lot.
"Really?" The blonde nodded.
"The director needs another Babe Botrelle." She sighed, "And I might have told him you would do it."
"You what?!" Sarah giggled softly.
"I signed you up for a big Broadway play, y/n. You're welcome." You looked over to the older woman in utter shock.
"Why?"
"Because you deserve it." And that was the last thing that was spoken between you two until that night.
.
.
.
It was 3:06 a.m and you were sprawled across the couch clutching your blanket tightly against your body. Trying to understand why Sarah would sign you up for the role. After all that had happened between the two of you, she was helping you reach your dreams.
"Y/N..." You sit up and your eyes lock with Sarah's own gorgeous brown hues. She was only in a thin, black nightgown. While her long blonde hair framed her face perfectly.
"Yes?"
"Will you come lay down with me? I-I.. Had a bad dream." You slowly stood and followed Sarah to her room.
"Are you sure?" You whispered as she crawled into her bed.
"I haven't had a full nights rest in three weeks Y/N. I'm positive. Please hold me." You nodded before laying beside the blonde and hesitantly wrapping your arms around her. "God, it feels so good to-to be held by you again."
"It feels good to hold you, Sar." You feel her scoot back. Even closer to you, molding herself to your figure. She grabbed one of your hands intertwining your fingers with hers. "Goodnight, Sarah." Once her breathing evened out and you believed she was asleep. You spoke, "I love you, Sarah Catharine Paulson. With all I have and all I'll ever be. You are the only one for me, darlin'. I'll show you forever if it means you'll be in my arms.." You kissed the top of her head before falling asleep as well.
