"Come on out Maggie!" Sophie shouted from my living room while I was in my bedroom trying on clothes for an upcoming runway show.

"No, this dress is too tight I feel like I'm suffocating!" I refused to step out.

"We need to see if it looks good enough on you to wear for the show, the designer wanted you to have the first pick."

I grabbed a hair tie and pulled my hair back into a quick low ponytail. "Of course it looks good on me but I can't stand to be in this dress for another second, I'm taking it off." It was a black latex dress, nothing that hasn't been seen before. Except this one was Versace, and it had gorgeous gold embellishments on the straps. "God, I think they sent me a size too small."

"Just let me see really fast and then you can take it off." I came out of my bedroom to show Sophie and he smiled. "That's the one!"

"I guess so. Can I just pretend like I tried on everything else and move on?"

"Sure." Sophie shrugged. I entered my room again and released myself from the tight dress. I changed back into my comfortable clothes and went back to the living room to chat.

"Hey, so when does filming start?" I asked.

She looked up from her phone which she had previously been nonstop texting on. "About a month and a half." I nodded. "Which reminds me, we need to talk about where you're gonna live."

My eyebrows furrowed. "I have to move?"

"No, not permanently at least. You'll still keep your place here but the movie is set in New York so that's where the filming will be. And it'll take a few months."

"How long?"

"Ballpark... four or five. Maybe even six depending on inclement weather or any other mishaps that may happen during filming." I was slightly taken off guard, I didn't know that I would be away from home for that long. I knew filming a movie takes a while but I thought at most I'd stay in New York for a week to film, and then I'd go home for a short break and so on. "So you can either stay in an apartment, a hotel, or your trailer. My suggestion would be an apartment since it'll be your own space, not like a hotel. And then it'll come furnished but we can change it however you'd like." Sophie said.

I nodded my head. "We'll do that then."

Sophie said she'd set everything up for me, now all I had to do was wait until it was time to migrate to New York City. I was sad to be leaving my home in LA, although a change of scenery would be nice. Maybe the reason I had been feeling so down lately was simple because Los Angeles is an exhausting place to live. Especially if you've been here for a while, it gets tiring.

I didn't need to pack any of my furniture. Just clothes and other necessities. I packed everything I could into the biggest suitcase I owned, and Sophie said she'd have the rest sent over to my temporary apartment waiting for me in the big apple. The weekend before I was supposed to leave, I had a going-away dinner at my place and invited all my model friends— all four of them including Chloe. She helped me pack a majority of my clothes, meaning she helped decide what stayed and what went with me. Even though she was sad to see me go, she was happy that I was doing something that made me feel like I had a purpose. Plus she told me that now she had a reason to visit New York.

It was bittersweet saying goodbye to my apartment, since I wouldn't be back for a while. But truly, this place never officially felt like home to me. I set off finally, and about five hours later I had landed. A car had already been arranged to take me to my new apartment, so that's where I headed after getting my luggage. Sophie said she'd meet me there in a couple of days, so it was just me until then. Filming didn't start for three days, so I had some time to get everything settled. I was still nervous, but ready for this new experience.
