Wings of morning doves scattered through the air as Axis skipped along the path to his first class. Finally, Friday had arrived.

The week had been stretched to the very end of its fibers nudging on the brink of snapping. At least it was close to over, the brief break of the weekend would hopefully aid the nauseating toll.

Rin followed by a safe distance letting Axis keep a manageable distance ahead.

Being hidden wasn't his main priority now, saying in view would be better or at least pretending to stay in view.

He had a simple but clouded structure of the business, he will be nearly invisible to those he is tracking but open and active to everyone else. It was hard to even set him apart from a crowd he blended so easily, especially since he died his hair back to a natural hue.

Rin had to be careful, tucking away his tail and masking his horns; just to give him an upper hand. He normally wouldn't bother, but Alex was right, the timing was too bizarre to ignore.

How much of his life was being watched would be another track to handle. The dorm was free of tampering, there were no tape recorders or miscellaneous cameras, but he rarely used cameras or recorders. He was too good to rely on technology, it is part of what makes him so dangerous.

Setting a trap he won't wriggle his way out of is far harder than Rin is willing to put the effort in, so he would just have to catch him in the act.

For as sly as he can be there is no denying he is only human; he can't even begin to compare to the plethora of inhumane abilities demonic inheritance has granted Rin.

"Why aren't you in cat form?" Axis inquired, sending a questionable glance at Rin's still human stance.

"I don't feel like it today," Rin shrugged, joints popping as his shoulders rose. "Besides, I will stay far away enough to not be noticed,"

"People are going to question why my service animal isn't with me," Axis continued his prance but slower, allowing Rin to meet his pace and close the distance.

"I will change for a few of your classes, if anyone bothers you for the period just tell them I am getting some air or I am outside,"

Closing the gap between his lids and he nodded, nose wrinkled and brows ruffled. "Sure,"

Rin let the distance between them grow again, he would love to explain himself to Axis but the kid needed a clear mind he wouldn't want him breaking down at his test.

The spy on campus was not something he needed to bother himself with. Regardless of what the demon was the pages could handle it. The curriculum wouldn't pair them against something above their caliber.

But if it did prove to be dangerous he would be there to keep things under control. After all, humans tend to focus more on their health than commands, if put in critical enough condition they will retract their familiars from a task to enlist their help.

Alex made sure to bother Axis about the measurements, fabric, and texture of the dress. He only agreed to it because he wouldn't have to do as much sewing; he walked into a one-way trip. A slippery slope that offered no means of sane return.

"We have three days to figure everything out for our outfit, can't you just chill?"

"Bah! Those sound like words of a coward to me,"

"I am not a coward, I just am not insane,"

"What is sanity?"

"Not whatever you are doing,"

Once again the two caught the tailors' attention. It's hard to not have your attention fall on the pair so proudly debating the fabric and make-up of a dress while also conversating about work ethics on a first-year project.
