Steam floated in the room as the showerhead spewed out piping hot water. Rin sat alone in the room, positioned comfortably on the wooden benches above the floor as he held the unmasked sword across his lap. Taking the small brushes and gliding them gently over the surface.

The scabbard soaked in the tub by his feet as Rin continued to polish the silver surface. The sword was due for a good clean for a while now, but he couldn't find the time to do it properly before he trapped Lucifer in. Maybe this was for the best, after all the darkness of being sealed in completely can get rather numbing it would be a change of speed to let him get some fresh air outside of battle.

The metallic sheen he was most familiar with shone through only after a few passes, but it still was astounding to think so much dirt and dust had clouded the surface. How shiny and bold the sword once was, and now will be again.

Lucifer didn't seem to overly mind it that much. Being without a host must be unbearable but Rin tried his best to make the linking dimension acceptable. He rarely made any movement in the sword, but he was still in it apparent by the steady aura around the blade and how it began to glow whenever Lucifer stirred away.

But this wasn't just to keep the sword clean, yes it brought forth amazing results in regards to the appearance of the sword but in part, it was just to distract himself.

Samael loved asking the difficult questions, making him think of things he hadn't before.

But here he was, cleaning the prison in which he stored the king above Mephisto. It was almost funny, how scared he was of the light demon who was trapped in a blade. Even if Lucifer did manage to slip out of the blade Rin would just stuff him back in or counter the attacks.

"Rin~" Iblis sang knocking on the door. "Are you done yet?"

"You can come in Iblis," Rin chuckled to himself, not bothering to look up as she entered.

"So why are the showers on?" Iblis waved at the mist surrounding her face, finding a patch of air to find a fresh breath.

"Elza and Elikx are working on the water system and they want all the hot water drained so they can work on the heater without the water spilling out,"

"So you are just wasting it?"

"No. All the shower water goes to the septic system and that could use a good watering,"

Useless perhaps but maybe this was for the better.

"Well Egyn wants to talk with you," Iblis informed looking over her shoulder.

"You brought him here?" Rin growled, his hand flinching over the hilt of the sword as the blade began to glow.

"Yes, I did but for good reason,"

"It better be," Rin hummed, keeping his grip tight on the sword.

"He wants to join Lucifer in the dimension you made,"

"Good for him," Rin huffed continuing to scrub at the buildup around the handle.

"Rin," Iblis scolded waiting for a different response.

"I am not going to put them together no matter how much he cries. I can't risk them plotting something before the battel.

He had a rather fair point, after all, they lead the Illuminati together so it wasn't far-fetched to believe they would do something along the lines of try and break out or send their kin orders.

He may be inhabiting a child host, but that did not forgive him all the harm he has caused. He knows what he did and he needs to pay for his crimes.

"Well he won't shut up about it so we have to do something," Iblis groaned coming to sit next to RIn on the bench.
