Warning deadnaming and mispronunciation of icecream

Fingers tapping across the blackboard drew in the stray ears that had wandered into loose conversation.

"Students I am proud to announce that you are now official exwires. And to kick off your training we will begin on the lowest-ranked and largest group of kin. Does anyone want to guess what group of kin it is?" Takara scribbled a circle onto the board, flashing looks over his shoulder to check for any raised hand.

Alex and Tatsuki competed for the right to speak, raising their hands higher and for longer when the silence drew on.

"The beetles," Axis yawned, stretching his arms over his head tugging at his mussels waiting for a cracking relief.

Just as words were to slip from his mouth Alex cut in,

"That's not a group of kin, and you are supposed to raise your hand,"

"No, not the beetles but you are close," Chalk squeaking as he smeared the pigment in form of the correct word. "The answer I was looking for is the insect kin. Now, does anyone know the name of the demon king of insects,"

"Balthazar!" Axis announced, standing as he did so.

"NO!" Alex shrieked joining Axis's stance.

Tatsuki let his hand fall flat against the table, letting Uta soothe him from interjecting. Holding his tongue and letting the bold proclamation dwindle around crushing with the energy as Axis took his seat.

"I'm afraid that's not correct either,"

"Well, I should be right, Balzthsar is a cool name,"
"Well, his name is Beelzebub! Surely that's a cool name," Tapping his finger on the board, Takara stood proudly in front of his delicate cursive in which the name was printed on the board.

"Like A Bee?" Pitch raising at the end, challenging the name with subtle perplexion.

"Yes, I think it's rather clever,"

"Cleverly stupid,"

"Now Axis," Rin slid onto his desk, appearing happily in the classroom. "It's rude to insult someone's name. Be grateful it's not something idiotic like Loki or raven,"

A chuckle spread across the room before Takara continued. With Rin at his side, Axis remained quiet. Sparely and softly commenting on things keeping the mention between the two of them, most simple questions some snarky retorts.

Outlining the base of the kin, explaining the kin system. A few notes were taken over the most commonly seen kin and how to do away with them. Full-fledged units will be endured further along the course but this was the beginner class; introductory level to the common concepts and base training.

Everything beyond this was the true preparation.

That still didn't make this any less bothersome.

It was rather bothersome, being handheld through this. As soon as the tool of the bells released them Axis hurried off diverting straight to his training.

"So it seems you were bored in class?"

"Yes," He sneered. "It's not kindergarten I know what an insect looks like,"

"This weekend we are going back out for fieldwork to go identify any demons we can find,"

They weren't fighting demons, not performing exorcisms, just looking... At least the exwire test was more interesting applying what little knowledge they had and making something of it.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously what?" Rin's head craned to the side, tracking the growing distress buried in Axis's expression.
