Chapter 45

While San, Wooyoung and Matthew were playing video games; I caught up with Wonho.

"I just don't get why mum and dad are so horrible to you. They were never strict with Matthew and I so I don't understand why they feel the need to run your life." Wonho mentioned.

"It is probably because I don't want the same things for myself as they do. They are so persistent on trying to get me married. They know that I don't want that. Mum just wants me to marry someone with lots of money because she thinks I won't have a good life if my husband isn't rich. She even tried to get me with Jeong Yunho when she realised that I was friends with him. Yunho is a lovely guy but I don't see myself being in a relationship with him. We are just really good friends."

Wonho gasped. "You mean Jeong Yeri's son?" I nodded.

"You are right! He is such a great guy to be honest. I would approve of him any day."

I smacked Wonho's arm. "I am with Wooyoung. And how do you even know Yunho?"

"I know you are but if he ever hurts you, I approve of Yunho." I shake my head. I don't think Wooyoung will hurt me.

"Also, I met Yunho a couple of years ago at a party that mum made us all go to and we got on quite well. We ended up bumping into each other at most of the parties. You would know that if you didn't go and hide at every party." Wonho shrugged his shoulders. That is true. I always went somewhere quiet when we attended parties. Not because I hated parties but because my parents would parade me around like a trophy. They would always brag about everything I can do but they would also make up stories most of it. This made me feel like I wasn't good enough for them to tell the actual things I have achieved. They hated anything that I chose to do myself.

"You would have hid too if our parents started telling others lies about your achievements." I rolled my eyes sarcastically.

"Is your leg healed completely now?" Wonho asked, looking down at my leg. I nodded.

"Yep, it is like nothing ever happened." I smiled.

"You still never told me the whole story on how it happened." Wonho spoke up.

"I just wasn't looking where I was going." I looked away.

"I know you are lying y/n. You are so bad at keeping eye contact when you lie."

I sighed. How do I even begin to tell him? Byeongho will probably end up on the news for a victim of a murder if I tell my brothers.

"You aren't going to like my real answer." I shrugged.

"Just tell me y/n. It isn't like I'm going to kill you for telling the truth." He groaned.

"You might kill the person who caused it though." I frowned.

"The person who caused it? Y/N, you best tell me what happened right this second."

I sighed and began telling him as he would never let it go.

As I went on and on, I could see all the pieces clicking into place in Wonho's head.

"So you are telling me that the dickhead was basically stalking you and then followed you out of the cafe, making you panic and run into a road?" Wonho growled.

"I mean, I don't think he was stalking me before but he must have just seen me in the cafe as I left and followed me. I know I should have been more careful when crossing but I just wanted to get away from him as fast as I could. I should have just turned to go up the street instead of crossing." I stressed. 

Wonho grabbed my hand that I didn't realise I was clenching until he spoke up. "Hey, hey, hey. Don't worry about it. You can't change what you did now." I looked down as Wonho rubbed my hand. As I looked at our hands, I could see the finger nail marks I had made from digging my finger nails too deep. There was no open wounds but just a few nail marks. How did I not feel it before Wonho noticed? Wonho pulled me in for a hug which I immediately wrapped my arms around him.

"I know I can't but I wish I did at the time."
