▒GLITCH 14

Time flew fast and it was the first day of winter break in Japan, presenting this as an opportunity for Noriko and Akashi to spend time together- actually, their parents forced them.

They were currently walking along in a park in Kyoto, silence lingering amongst the two individuals.

Akashi was one for silence, but he grew used to Yumi's noise and he actually misses it. Yumi couldn't stand silence so by now if it were only him and the white haired girl, she would crack a joke about his hair color or maybe make a lame pun.

She would probably tell him, "Hey, where are the lambs?" because, you know, Silence of the Lambs. Funny? No? Yes?

Thinking about that, Akashi could tell that she rubbed off on him. He sighed at the thought of her. Speaking of Yumi, she left his phone at home charging. But what was odd was that she was the one who had insisted to be left behind. It was peculiar since he remembered that she has autophobia and that she had told him before that she left safe with him, so why had she persist to leave her?

Because it would hurt to see and know that you're with her, was what she thought to herself while she replied to Akashi with a smile a while ago.

"... shi-san? Akashi-san?" Noriko's voice interrupted his train of thought.

He gave her a side long glance and mumbled a "what?" somewhat rudely. Maybe if he was mean enough, she would run away and tell her parents-

That's too immature of me. Akashi thought, sighing.

"You're really different from before." The orange haired girl told him with a bright grin, but to him, Yumi's grin was the brightest of them all.

But hearing her statement, Akashi raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

She emitted a short laugh. "I'm your childhood friend, Akashi-san." She told him, "and that's why our parents wanted us to be together."

"What about you then?" Akashi couldn't help but ask her.

Noriko laughed out loud. "No way. I consider us to have a platonic brother-sister relationship to be honest, even back then. I have a boyfriend already, but my parents don't know about it." Was her short explanation, making Akashi breathe out a sigh of relief. This caught Noriko's attention. "You have a girl in mind, don't you?"

"No I don't." was the red head's quick reply. That earned him a laugh from the Matsuoka.

"Suit yourself." She said, shrugging. "I'm going to try and persuade my parents to cancel the marriage. I want my own future to decide for myself. Don't you agree," she looked at Akashi who was looking at the sky, "Akashi-san?"

He simpered and sighed. "Of course I agree."

"So tell me about this girl you like! Little Seijūrō is growing up!" Noriko gushed, earning a glare from Akashi.

"Don't call me that."

"Sorry, sorry." The other said. "Just tell me already, come on!"

Akashi sighed. "Her name is..."

Noriko looked at him, expecting his answer with wide and curious eyes, just like a child who was asking about the meaning of life. What...

"... a secret."

The orange haired girl cried out in an aggravated manner. "You wasted thirty seconds to give me an anti-climactic answer. Ugh, so not worth it!"

"Yukana."
