"What are you going to make him do?"Heeseung sat next to her on the bench, her devilish smile scheming something.
"I say we make use of the court since there isn't anyone using it today."
Chae ah pointed at the large court next to them which had running tracks surrounding the outer radius.
Jake understood what she meant and subtly started stretching his legs, getting for a run.
"Your going to make him run?"
Heeseung asked, watching Jake stretch.
"3 rounds."
Chae ah said.
"That's probably quite easy for him."
Heeseung wasn't very satisfied with the punishment as he hoped for something more evil, so that he could see Jake get embarrassed.
"3 rounds while shouting a compliment. It has to be different each round. Shout "Chae ah is something" as you run."
Chae ah smirked, adding the latter part.
"Let everyone know I'm better than you."
"Now that's embarrassing."
Heeseung laughed as he liked the idea.
"Start running whenever you're ready!"
Chae ah gave Jake a shoulder pat as he walked to the start line.
"Make sure you shout loudly."
Heeseung whiped out his phone, getting ready to record as he cheered on.
Jake didn't wait for long, immediately starting his run after thinking what to say.
"Chae ah is great! Chae ah is great!"
His loud voice shouted every few seconds. Thankfully there were lesser people today, making it less embarrassing.
"This is fun!"
Heeseung applauded, recording Jake who was already have way through the first round. Chae ah took out some snacks and put it on the bench, enjoying the scene in front of her.
The first round quickly finished, Jake slowing down when he approached them to check if he was doing it as she likes.
"I think the word best is better then great."
Chae ah pretended to ponder, gaining a chuckle from Heeseung.
"So this round doesn't count. 3 more to go!"
She added, teasing him.
Jake stopped for a moment, scoffing at the ridiculous reason but he couldn't argue because she could decide whatever.
He sighed before running of again, this time changing the word great to best. After the first round, he immediately continued to the second, not stopping as he wanted to quickly complete the punishment.
Having great stamina, the next round was not too tough for him, "complimenting" that she is smart. Jake was still running quite fast despite it being harder to breathe due to the shouting. It was more tiring then usual but he continued till he only had one round left.
"I'll go toilet for a sec, be right back."
Heeseung stopped his phone recording as he informed Chae ah, rushing into the classroom block to find the toilet, Jake still yelling "Chae is is smart" in the background.
Taking out her own phone, she too recorded as he approached his last round.
Jake ran passed by the bench moments after she pressed the record button, transitioning to the last round.
She held her phone up smirking, zooming into him as she waited for his last compliment sentence.
"Chae ah is pretty! Chae ah is pretty!"
Her movements paused, eyes tearing away from her phone screen to Jake running.
Pretty?
Chae ah was taken aback, mouth hanging slightly open.
Did he really say that?
It was a surprising compliment, not something to take note about, making Chae ah confused and stunned.
If Chae ah would describe her look it would be decent. Compared to others, she wasn't as pretty as Hayeon but she wasn't too far behind. She had a clean look, nothing to outstanding. Even so it gave a comfortable feeling, something neat and tidy.
Her appearance was generally put aside as she was more known for her academics. Chae ah didn't think much about her looks so it didn't matter much.
However, hearing Jake call her pretty was something new as she was not used to hearing it. It made her realise her beauty was just as appreciated.
Ears burning red, Che ah felt really shy having her beauty complimented, much more from her academic rival.
Footsteps of Jake coming closer pulled her back to reality as she quickly stopped her recording and drank water to calm herself.
"I finished."
Jake panted, sweating profusely.
"I'm back! Jake you're done? Did I miss the last round? Dang you're so fast."
Heeseung jogged over, disappointed he couldn't see the last round.
Chae ah kept quiet, still drinking her water.
"Hey Chae ah did you run as well? Why are your ears so red?"
Heeseung pointed out confused as he could see her face flustered.
"I-I think I ate too much chips."
She randomly said.
"Anyways, we have 15 more minutes before class."
Standing up, she disposed their trash while Jake wiped his sweat.
"There's no PE today so there's no towel, just wash your face at the toilet."
Heeseung said offering a bottle of water.
Chae ah was done was down tidying up and they waited for Jake to cool down a little.
Sweat continued to drip down from his forehead as his hair was now wet. Unconsciously, he lifted his shirt to wipe it off as he had no towel.
The split second was enough for Chae ah to react as she turned around covering her eyes.
"C-Could you please use some conscious? Don't just lift your shirt suddenly."
It was only after she said that the guys had realised and Heeseung told Jake to put his shirt back down, before signalling Chae ah it was okay to turn around.
"I honestly don't really mind if you look."
Jake shrugged taking his belongings as they got ready to leave. That sweeping comment he made caused Heeseung to panic a little as if he lost his mind and started saying weird things.

"Where's Heeseung?"
Jake exited the toilet after washing his face.
"He left first."
Chae ah answered as they made their way to literature class.
"Oh my! You look like you just ran a marathon!"
Mr Yoon exclaimed as he saw his students enter the class, specifically Jake whose hair was messy.
"Actually that's kinda what happened, sir."
Cha each giggled, noticing his messy hair as well.
I kinda missed literature though it was quite a tough subject. Hope you guys will be able to see more references to the subject as we go along:)
