Chae ah watched the students walk pass her, notes on their hands and reciting formulas and paragraphs.

Standing next to the school gate, she looked at the time, checking her text messages but found none.

Having done her revision and preparation for the CSAT, she wasn't too nervous yet her heart was beating fast as Jake hasn't arrived or texted her anything since last week.

"Morning! Let's head in."

Heeseung waved his hand, running up to Chae ah.

"You can go first I'm waiting for-"

"Well look at the time, should we head in first to find our seats? I heard some people from our class got shifted to another classroom. Let's first find our classes in case there's some error."

Wasting no time, he grabbed her bag, dragging her with him to the class despite her protesting.

Luckily for them, they remained in their own classroom without the need to move. Heeseung asked Chae ah to run through a few formulas just before the school bell goes off, signalling the start of the CSAT.

Paper after paper, there was only minimal break between each test as the students drilled through the day, hands constantly writing.

Focused, everyone had their eyes peeled to the scripts, making sure that there was little mistakes. There was no room for carelessness as all you could hear was the clock counting down the time till the exams end.

Just like that, the day ended and students exited the school, outside filled with anxious parents waiting for their child.

Some cried while others sighed, at least the exam has ended.

"How'd did my little girl do?"

"It wasn't too hard for me. How are you feeling mom?"

Chae ah was on the phone, ears peeled while her eyes searched for someone amidst the crowds.

"Much better. So sorry to have you come back all the way to Incheon before your CSAT."

"Don't worry I already prepared everything in advance."

She spotted Heeseung getting into his parents car at the entrance. He waved to her, smiling quite brightly, maybe because he felt confident as well.

"That's good to hear. Go back and rest well now that it's over."

"Ok I'll go first mom, bye."

Chae ah ended the call, finding the school gates more or less empty now since everyone already left. Still, she haven't seen Jake all day, nor has he seen her least text where she asked where was he.

Assuming he turned off his phone to get rid of distraction and disturbance during the CSAT, Chae ah didn't think much and went home to rest.

The next week they had to return back to school for non curriculum activities as well as administrative duties. As for now, Chae ah had a couple of days to catch up on sleep and her dramas.

"Heeseung is Jake not coming? He hasn't read my texts for almost a week now."

Chae ah worriedly asked.

The past few days was supposed to be relaxing but she couldn't contact Jake, causing her to feel worried.

After hearing her words, Heeseung stiffened, glancing at the empty seat beside him that used to belong to Jake.

"Chae ah you see... there's something I need to tell you."
