Does He Know?

Chapter 6

A few days later.

The team was leaving tomorrow for a few days. They had the day off and Gavi had spent all afternoon at my house. After playing with my brother a few games of FIFA Gavi and I had retreated to my room.

I put on a movie and we layed together on my bed. My head on his chest and his right arm around me. My right hand interlocked with his left hand which he kept on caressing every few seconds. I could feel him smelling my hair every now and then and moving his hand up and down my arm. His heartbeat became accelerated every time. My parents had gone out to dinner and had left us in charge of my brother.

-I wish you didn't have to leave.- I said. I felt as Gavi placed a kiss on my head. -Your parents would kill us if they get home and I'm sleeping here.- He said with a laugh. I looked up at him and he placed a soft kiss on my lips. I felt as his tongue went in and our lips moved together. He cupped my face in between his hands and he smiled into the kiss. -Te quiero.- he whispered and left a kiss on my forehead as he went back to cuddling me while we watched the movie.

The movie ended and as I walked Gavi downstairs and out to his car my parents came home. It had become their tradition to go out for dinner the night before my father left with the team. He along with Val's dad did a lot of legal work and paperwork for the team and were always with them.

The next morning:

I could hear the honking coming from my mother's car. David continued to press on the horn. -I'm coming!- I yelled as I ran downstairs and closed the front door behind me. Once David saw me approaching the car he went and sat in the back seat. I opened the door and sat next to my mom in the passenger seat.

-Sara, we are just going to say goodbye to dad, not a fashion show.- she said as I rolled my eyes and looked down at my outfit. True, other times I would have been fine in going in my pajamas and coming right back home to sleep but not today.

-It's because she's going to see her boyfriend, Gavi.- chimed in David from the back.

-Stop it, enano.- I yelled as I turned around and gave him a look. I heard my mom begin to laugh, -Leave David alone, Gavi is your boyfriend isn't he?- she always took his side.

-Yes but I don't like David making fun of me.- David began to laugh.

Once we arrived to the ciutat esportiva we all walked towards where the bus usually picked everyone up. I gave my dad a hug and said goodbye. -Be nice to David while I'm gone.- he said causing me to laugh. -You know as much as he annoys me I always do.- David ran behind and gave dad a hug followed by my mom.

I looked around but couldn't find Gavi. My dad noticed the look on my face and approached me. -If you're looking for Gavi, him and a few others went to grab some snacks from the cafeteria.-

-Gracias papa.- I said as I began to walk to find him.

As I walked the tunnels and approached the cafeteria I could hear Gavi and Ansu laughing. I stopped at the doorway and looked at Gavi who eventually felt my eyes on him and turned around. -Sara!-

Ansu grabbed his water bottle and walked towards me. -Hola Sara.- he smiled as he began to walk away. -Gavi, I'll see you on the bus.-

I walked closer to Gavi and hugged him. He cupped my face in his hands and gave me a soft kiss. -I thought you weren't going to make it.- he said. I shook my head. -David took forever to come out to the car.- I lied and Gavi laughed. -Sure, David.- he said nudging me on my shoulder.

Gavi took me in for a hug and I rested my head on the crook of his neck. I took him all in, his scent, the way his body felt against mine. The way being in his arms made me feel safe and daring and like I could take over the world. -I'm going to miss you.- I whispered which caused him to smile. -I'll call you every night.-
