There are some people in this world who are different from the vast majority. Their thinking, perspective, their dreams and wishes very different from the "normal". And the way they love as well is very different. They love hard. They love deep with everything in them. And when you are like that it's very hard to fit in with most because it's hard to find people who relate. People the same as you. It can be quite a lonely feeling... and so some bury themselves in books, lose themselves in art, work... but the feeling never quite goes away... the longing in your soul... the void... its like that quote I can't quiet remember well but it's along the lines of do you know what it's like to search for a home your whole life to never find it...
I hope you find your home dear reader...
"Where are you from?"
Elica's heart nearly jumps out of her chest when Nadina's voice comes from the dark of their living room when she enters.
"What the fuck! You can't just sit in the dark and scare people like that!" She turns on the light to find her in her gown, her eyes full of sleep.
"It's nearly midnight Eli. What kind of meeting kept you for so long... this is a first."
Eli moves towards her and sits next to her. Nadi tenses up from her scent.
"It just kind of took long. We had a lot of discussions and reviewing to do..." she tosses her car keys on the coffee table.
Nadi smiles at her, but it's the kind of smile Eli doesn't understand. Her eyes look into hers as if searching for something, Eli can't hold her eye contact.
"Your scent is mixed with lavender..." Nadi states still looking into her eyes.
"What?" Eli asks unnerved by her statement.
"You smell like lavender Elica. Were you with somebody else?" She is still smiling at her but knowing Nadi she's a few seconds away from bursting into tears...
Eli keeps quiet. What is she to say? She can't lie because she will know she is lying. There is nothing verbally defined between her and Nadi so why does she feel like a spouse that has been caught cheating...
Nadi's chest tightens and she feels her heart shattering. It's nothing like she has ever felt before. Her eyes burn with hot tears that spill and run down her cheeks.
Eli moves closer and tries to hug her but she moves away. The rejection stings Eli's heart.
"Don't touch me. Answer my question..." she cries.
Eli looks at the floor. She hates herself in this moment. For hurting the girl who means more than anything.
"Yes... i went out to meet someone for dinner..." she quietly admits.
"Like a date?"
"No," she denies.
"I saw the way you looked. You have never looked like that for anyone. Not even when you and I go out do you take much time to look that good... and you want to tell me you did all that just for a mere meeting?" She looks at her... accusation evident in her face.
Eli keeps quiet and the sound of Nadi's broken sobs sting her eyes and her eyes are filled with tears as well.
"I'm sorry..." she goes to kneel infront of her and wraps her arms around her midsection, her face buried in her.
Nadi tries to move her away but she is too strong...
"Leave me alone!" Nadi cries.
"Stop touching me!"
"Let me go!!" "Let go of me Eli!!!"
She is practically screaming at this point.
Her sounds wake Darina up who shoots up from her bed alarmed. She rushes out of her room when she clearly hears Nadi's voice crying begging to be left alone and for the person to stop touching her. The words trigger Darina and her mind races.
