Ana was an old soul at heart. Imagine her joy when she came from brunch with Nadi and found a small envelope decorated with stars, hearts and glitters, a handwritten letter inside it as she opened her bag when she arrived inside her house...
She absolutely loved handwritten letters. She found them just so sentimental and thoughtful. This being her her first letter from her babygirl, it was most likely to be framed up by the fridge.
To mommy (heart stickers)
Hi mommy. Nadi wants you to know that she loves you lots and lots and lots. I feel very happy when I am with you because you make me feel warm and fuzzy and like I'm a princess (glitters)
Ana laughs to herself and curls on the couch enjoying her letter as she continues reading.
A list of reasons why Nadi loves mommy•°• (heart emojis)
• mommy is kind to Nadi and other people
•mommy smells good
•mommy gives Nadi the best hugs, kisses and cuddles
•mommy makes Nadi feels really small and cute like she a little princess(Ana tears up)
•mommy speaks gentle and soft with Nadi
•mommy the most beautiful mommy Nadi has ever seen... Mommy looks like a royal queen. The list goes on and on, some making her laugh and some making her tear up.
The last paragraph of the letter is a request.
Will mommy please move in with us. Nadi would really like that and appreciate it. It would be nice to wake up next to mommy everyday so she can helps me do my hair and pick out my outfit, we gets matching pyjamas and mommy helps fight Eli who steals my sweets. Also because Nadi wants to be with her mommy all the time. It hurts to have her mommy live so far away. And Nadi would like mommy to think about the possibility of us having nursing time... I would really like that if mommy is comfortable with it...
I hope mommy has a great day filled with lots of softness like my soft plushie Tinka... (Heart and stars stickers.
Nadi. (Pink hearts)
Ana laughs, reading the letter over and over again.
So much pink... Ana thinks to herself as she reads the letter. But it was too personal and sentimental to be framed on her fridge. Ana takes a picture of the letter before neatly packing it back inside the envelope and putting it inside her bedside drawer.
"How was work?" Ana softly threads her fingers through Eli's hair who is laying on top of her in Ana's bed.
"It was annoying. I had to make a verbal report about my trip to Jamaica and then answer dumb questions... I couldn't wait for it to end." Eli mumbles
"At least you didn't punch Ramos??" Ana chuckles.
"Oh, but I was very close to... Now each time I think about spatting back, I simply think about Darina's smile or Nadi running to hug me or laying in your arms like this and I calm down a bit... Think of happy places like you told me..." She tells Ana.
"I'm so proud of you. And I'm so glad you took my advice. And I think you are making great progress. You haven't had a temper flare in weeks and Nadi hasn't complained about you being mean to her..."
"I'm rarely mean to her..." Eli defends herself.
"I know baby... But those small things like calling her stuffed animal "annoying" or her pink fuzzy gloves "ridiculous..." They get to her because she's very sensitive. But I'm glad I haven't heard her complain about any of that in a while... Even Darina says you are calmer now... I'm so proud of you baby..." Ana caresses her cheek.
