53 | First Night At Home

DARREN
"Okay, we should probably put him to bed now," You say. It was 7:45, but he was already sleeping anyway "Okay, come on," Darren says, helping you off the couch. You both walk upstairs, Sebastian in your arms "Turn the monitor on please, D" You rock Sebastian for a minute, before giving him a few kisses. After Darren turns the thermistor on, you hand him Sebastian, and he says "Goodnight my boy, I love you" You smile, and after he lays your baby down, Darren engulfs you in a hug "Come on babe, let's go lay down" After about an hour, you're already asleep, and Darren is almost there. Not after the baby starts crying loudly, and it's only the very beginning of the night.

CHORD
The baby wakes up and starts crying. You and Chord have been sleeping also, so you jump awake when the monitor starts to go off with your baby's cries. You began to roll out of bed, sighing when you see what time it is. It's 2 "I got him, babe" Chord says, pushing you back down "Are you sure?" You ask, already closing your eyes "Promise" He says kissing your forehead. After about a minute or so, mayo I don't hear Dakota crying anymore. You sigh a breath of relief, before allowing yourself to fully fall asleep again. Chord comes back into bed, wrapping his arms around you before finally falling back asleep as well.

GRANT
You wake up, and notice Grant wasn't there. You sit up, rubbing your eyes and looking around for any sign of your husband. You can't hear anything on the monitor, but you decided to look anyway. Walking down the hall, you look into the nursery, to see your husband in the rocking chair, sleeping, while Juniper is up to his chest, also sleeping. You smile, going back to the room and getting your phone to take a picture "Grant" You whisper when you're done taking the picture "Hmm?" He hums, opening his eyes tiredly "Let's go back to bed" You say, taking Juniper out of his arms "Okay" He smiles slightly, you putting Juniper back into her crib.

JONATHAN
"Lily, babe" You hear Jonathan with a tired and raspy voice "Hmm?" "Leilani's hungry," He says, sitting on the bed next to you. You guys had decided to breastfeed, and this was a downside of that "Okay, give her here" You say, scooting over next to him "Hopefully Dahlia doesn't wake up too" You whisper, letting Leilani do what she needs. Jonathan smiles a little because he can already tell how much you love them and it's only the first night.
