The Irony of Pain

A feeling indescribable, a feeling to forget

Yet it is also something one mustn't regret

Maybe stimulated in a blink of an eye

But the sting lasts until the moment you dry

It is a feeling that begs of someone's death

Yet it is also something reminding you of breath

A feeling not to cherish but you always remember

A feeling that persists even if it's finally over

It makes you weak but it also makes you strong

Lets you feel alone yet lets you feel you belong

An emotion that builds up in one's precious heart

But once let out, it would tear you apart

It heats things up but it feels so cold

A treasure considered worthless but gold

Something that makes you feel you're nothing

And yet it still feels like once, you had everything

Despair that made you feel heavy til you go to bed

It is also despair that lets you feel light in the head

But once gone, the moment had passed away

See it's present inside you until this time of day

Then feel like a person but don't feel like a being

Sweet yet bitter in taste; an ending and a new beginning
