Teary-Eyed

I saw you alone in the shadows

I saw you bond with someone close

The irony is intensely blood-dyed

I saw you and I got teary-eyed

For all I know and for all I did

For something awful or splendid

Wherever I may go and I may hide

I cover my sight; it's teary-eyed

Together both in cheer and remorse

Inviting to come in through these doors

Once shut and the lights have died

I'll be blind but I'll be teary-eyed.

Yesterday, now, tomorrow's vision

Not a constant truth but an illusion

I can still see what I believe deep inside

And yet I fear that I'll be teary-eyed

Still confused on the option to choose

Effort was wasted for nothing precious

But I guess it's better that I have tried

Even if the choice gets me teary-eyed
