There comes that time in the road which is life, when a person decides to leave the comforting walls of their parents' home and their open, loving arms. This person thinks 'Hey, I'm gonna be independent now!' and attempt to live alone or with a friend. He or she would think of this time as a huge step in their lives.

For Emery Grace, she encountered this 'time in the road' for the second time. When her mother was done with her business in Las Vegas, Nevada and decided to head back to London, Emery Grace begged to stay with her friend for a while. She loved London, truly, she did. However, Las Vegas was just such an interesting place for her. Her mother, Lina, could see why her daughter would want to stay for it, honestly, was a beautiful place, but of course she would be worried. She is a mother after all.

"Are you sure you two would be alright?" worriedly she asked as she looked at her daughter and her best friend, who she could also consider her child sometimes. Emery and Amira nodded, smiling in excitement. Currently, they were at the airport, bidding goodbye to Lina. Hugs and kisses were exchanged, promises to call and message were made, and continuous assurances of their own safety were said until Lina reluctantly left to catch her flight. The two 20 year olds watched her until she was gone before turning and walking away, falling into a conversation where they discussed what they would do.

Amira would be staying with Emery for a week or so, but she couldn't stay for too long since she had work to do back in London. Emery, who works as a Youtuber, may be able to stay there for a bit longer as she was able to bring all of her equipment on the trip. When her mother said that she was going to Las Vegas to help with a photoshoot for two weeks and that Emery and Amira could come with, if they desire it, which they did, she was quick to pack her cameras and other significant materials needed to film. Both of them were very excited to be able to stay there for a bit longer since they weren't quite the travelling type and visit countries and such.

"Oh my goodness. No way." A voice murmured behind Em as she walked. At first, she didn't really care about it, but that changed when the owner of the voice was standing in front of them with wide eyes.

"H-hi." She shakily greeted as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm Diana, I'm such a huge fan of yours." she introduced herself with a wide smile, looking at Emery. Then after she saw Amira as well, her eyes widened a bit more and she immediately tried to correct herself, "I'm such a huge fan of both of you."

"Nice to meet you, Diana. Thank you so much for the support!" Emery exclaimed as she hugged the younger girl. EmeryGrace has recently reached 3.8 million subscribers and was on her way to getting 4 million subscribers, which she was really excited for. It was weird how she started making videos when she was still in school and was procrastinating her English paper due the next day, then now she has millions of people sending messages to her about how she makes them smile and laugh. It's probably one of the best things about being a Youtuber: Being able to bring a smile on a stranger's face even in a bad day.

"Your YouTube channel's going pretty well, Em." Amira noted after Diana has left and they walked towards the exit. "I know," Em replied. "It's crazy, but it's amazing."

"Can't believe it's just been ten days since we were last here." Emery said as they entered the airport. It's been a week and three days, and Amira got an email from her boss telling her that there is an important meeting she has to attend.

"So, when are you going back to London?"

"I don't know," Emery shrugged, feeling nervous with her next words which she added quietly. "Maybe a month?" Amira's reaction was already expected by Emery, so she was prepared.

"A MONTH?!" the blonde-haired girl exclaimed, suddenly coming to a stop to stare at her friend. "What do you mean 'a month?'" she questioned.

"As in, I would stay here for a month, probably. Don't worry though, I'll still pay the rent." Emery explained slowly. She didn't have to worry about the rent for the place they were staying at there since her mother already bought it for herself in case she ever needed to return to Las Vegas, and so Emery could still pay her share of the rent even while staying in Vegas.
