"Get up," was the first thing I heard before something was smashed onto my head. I immediately sat up and glared at Amira who was wearing a smug grin with a pillow in hand. Rolling my eyes at her, I fell back onto the bed, covered myself with my blanket, and curled into foetus position. Amira, however, was having none of that seeing as she ripped the blanket off of me and dragged me out of bed.
"You were the one who made plans today, now get up!" I groaned in response from my place on the floor. Amira took a less than half filled glass of water, which I assume she brought, and dumped it on me. It made my hair damp and I felt cold water just flowing through my forehead. I whined and shivered because of the temperature, trying to reach the edge of the blanket that was hanging from the edge of my bed, but Amira just pushes it away before leaving me in the cold.
I ended up dragging my feet to the table where Rami had some food set up already.
My eyes wanted to sleep, my heart begged me to go back, my mind was a fumbling mess, my body was still half asleep. I have no bloody idea why I decided to get out of bed.
Maybe my common sense was still asleep.
"Eat. Now." Amira demanded as she pushed my plate towards me.
"You treat me like I'm Harry Potter and you're Petunia Dursley." I mumbled as I stuffed a bit of food into my mouth. "Why did you even wake me up anyways?"
"You mentioned you had plans to go to the mall with Peej." She shrugged.
"That's still at 2pm, you daft dumbo."
"It takes an hour to get from here to the mall. And that's without the traffic, mind you."
"Yeah, that's why I'll leave at half past twelve. Duh."
"Well, it's half past eleven. You haven't eaten breakfast and you aren't looking the least bit presentable. Who's the daft dumbo now?" My head swiftly turned to our clock and I saw that she was telling the truth. Immediately, I started properly as fast as I can without choking or anything, which made Amira laugh as she ate hers ever so slowly just to taunt me.
"Don't you want to come with?" I asked as I was quickly washing the plate I used (since it was my turn). "Nah, you guys have some bonding time." She replied from her seat at the table. "I've got some plans with my friend, the internet."
I laughed, placing the plate in the dishwasher, before walking out of the kitchen and going to my room. "Tell internet, I'll see it when I get back!" I shouted before closing my door and rushing to take a shower.
Twenty minutes earlier than my supposed time of departure from my flat, I walked out of my room. I finished way earlier than I expected to, so yay. I grudgingly went down the stairs since the elevator wasn't working again, ugh. Halfway down, I saw Caspar climbing up the stairs, presumably on the way to my flat.
"Woah! Hey, Casp! What's up?" I asked, stopping him from going up. He held up a finger, signalling me to wait as he breathed deeply. I don't blame him, he was running up the stairs and exercise is stressful and tiring.
"Could I borrow your laptop? Or Amira's? My laptop's being uncooperative right now and I really really need to edit the video already." He answered. I furrowed my eyebrows as I asked the next question. "Why couldn't you borrow Joe's?"
"He's out with Will right now. They're at some mall buying stuff. He brought his laptop because he's planning to edit there, I think." He explained before begging me once more to let him use my laptop.
"Yeah, just go upstairs and tell Rami I allowed you to use the blue laptop." His eyes widened and he hugged me quickly before thanking me and bidding me goodbye as he rushed up the stairs. I resumed my walk down the stairs while texting Amira about Caspar.
