"So, that was a wrap on Emery guys!" Ryan announced as we all cheered. We were at the airport, but we could care less about the glares we were getting from the people rushing around. I went around hugging everyone and saying goodbyes, then turned to the camera Derrick was holding to vlog and blew it a kiss. "I'm gonna miss you viewers! You were such an amazing audience."
"We're going to miss you so much, Em!" Daina exclaimed, pulling me into a hug again. "Aw, Daina, you're going to make me cry." My voice cracked at the last word as I hugged her back tightly.
"No, we weren't supposed to cry. What are you doing, Em?! Stahp it." Ryan exaggerated, trying to make the atmosphere happy again as he teared up. Oh my gods, I'm making Ryan cry. I reluctantly let go of Daina and threw my arms around Ryan, hugging him tightly.
"I'm so sorry... Sorry... Sorry." I mumbled as I slowly started to cry into Ryan's shoulder. I felt him shake as he started to cry and hug me tighter too. Slowly, everyone else gathered around us and we were once again in a huge mess of a group hug. Partially, I was apologising for making them cry. But I was also apologising for leaving.
I knew I had to leave. I wanted to. I wanted to return home and see all the people I haven't seen in a while. I wanted to get back and see my room again. But I didn't want this to be the consequence. These people really started to grow on me, and I love them. They became like family. It just hurts to know I have to leave them. It frightens me because what if we lose touch? What if in a few months time, we treat each other like strangers? It scares me to even think of that possibility. If I had the choice, I would bring them with me.
I heard my flight being called and I had to pull away from the hug. "Duuuuddeee, I have to go." I explained softly. "My flight was just called." I sniffed and grabbed hold of my luggage again. I smiled at them, one last time, before saluting them and turning to leave.
"BYE EM!" I heard a group of people shout, and I turned to see them waving wildly. I waved back before taking a turn and losing sight of them. Taking a deep breath, I continued walking and doing all the airport things I needed to do until soon enough, I was on a plane headed back to London.
I had a window seat, the seat beside me was occupied by a 5-year old girl who, thankfully wasn't the typical annoying kid. She was very calm and absorbed into this storybook she was reading. Beside her was who I assumed to be her mother. The mother who was probably early thirties with curly, ebony hair and glasses was also completely invested in the book she was reading. I got a glimpse of the title, expecting it to be some sort of parenting book or maybe something business related, then I hid my face by looking through the window when I suddenly smiled because I saw that it was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I wanted to talk to her about it, being a huge Potterhead, but I went against it as I needed to sleep since it would be a long flight and she was intensely reading the book. It would be rude to just interrupt her reading time.
A while later, I had woken up to the sound of a flight attendant announcing our arrival to be in just a few minutes. I looked out the window and saw that it was already quite dark, probably 7 or 8pm. I decided to take out my phone and maybe read something from Wattpad or talk to some people on Twitter.
Here's an interesting fact about me. I have fan accounts. I have three fan accounts on Twitter, two on Tumblr, two on Wattpad, and a couple of other accounts on fanfiction websites. I've befriended multiple people from my fandom and hid under the name Ree. I know it might sound weird of me to do that, but it was really fun getting to know these people and I get completely honest opinions from them about my newest video or something because they don't know it's me. Some of them already asked me to Skype with them, but I always make this excuse that I don't have a Skype account yet, so I just asked for theirs instead and told them I'll Skype them when I made one already. It's going to be so much fun :)
