Chapter 8

It's the next day. Ni'awtu walks out seeing the others sitting around and talking to each other. 
"Sister, you are finally awake" Tox says.
She nods, and smiles at him.

Ni'awtu then looks forward and her eyes lock with Lo'ak.
They look at each other for a couple of seconds but she clears her throat and moves her eyes away from him.

She sits down next to Neteyam.
"You look ill. Are you okay?" He asks her.
She nods, "im fine."
She gives a couple of glances to Lo'ak as she can feel his gaze on her.

"My favourite person is here" Aonung says and puts his hands on her shoulders as he's stood behind her.
Tsireya looks to Lo'ak, "I think he likes her."
"Yeah. It's pretty obvious" Lo'ak replies, not taking his eyes off Ni'awtu.

Ni'awtu moves his hands off her shoulders.
Aonung doesn't see it as anything, as he comes and sits next to her.
"You changed your hair" Aonung notices that her hair is down, as she usually keeps it up.

She nods and smiles, remembering her conversation with Lo'ak last night,

Lo'ak pulls her hair tie down, opening Ni'awtu's hair.

"Keep it open. It's better that way" Lo'ak says.
"You don't like it up?" Ni'awtu asks.
He nods, "of course I do. Just not around Aonung."

"Yeah. I thought I should change it up a bit" Ni'awtu says.
"It's nice. I like it" Aonung smirks.
Ni'awtu looks at Lo'ak and she can see the jealousy in his eyes as he glares at them.

He stands up and walks to them, grabbing onto Ni'awtu's arm, "excuse us for a moment."'
He drags her with him.
"Lo'ak don't make a scene nothing is going on" Ni'awtu says. But he ignores her and continues to walk.

Once they are away from them, Lo'ak looks at her.
"We did not flirt. Do not say we flirted" Ni'awtu warns him.
"What did he say to you?" Lo'ak asks.
"He just said he likes my hair down" Ni'awtu says.
He nods, "very well."
"Lo'ak" Ni'awtu calls out.
"I cannot say anything or do anything. That's for you to decide because it is your life" Lo'ak says and walks off.

"Lo'ak" she calls out again but he ignores her.
"He can be so tiresome" Ni'awtu mutters to herself.
She walks behind Lo'ak back to the others.

Lo'ak goes to sit down next to Tsireya again. This time Ni'awtu sits on the other side with her brothers Ray and Tox.
"Is everything alright with Lo'ak? He seems to be giving you a lot of death stares" Ray says.
"I'm fine" Ni'awtu says.

She looks at Lo'ak and sees him next to Tsireya. Tsireya holds onto Lo'ak's arm and puts her head on his shoulder.
"And he tells me I was flirting" Ni'awtu mutters under her breath.

She stands up, picking up Tox, and then looks at Ray, "I'm going. Are you coming?"
"Where?" Ray asks.
"I don't know. Anywhere" Ni'awtu says.
"You're acting weird" Ray says.
"Yes or no" Ni'awtu asks.
Ray nods and stands up.

"Hey you've just got here, where are you going?" Neteyam asks.
Lo'ak looks at Ni'awtu, and she looks at him, seeing him move Tsireya's arm away.
"I'm just, going for a while" Ni'awtu says and walks the other way.

Neteyam looks to Lo'ak, "what have you done now?"
"Me? Nothing" Lo'ak says.
He stands up and follows Ni'awtu and her brothers.

"Ni'awtu" Lo'ak calls out. She turns around and puts Tox down, holding on to his hand whilst Ray has already walked forward.
"What do you want Lo'ak?" Ni'awtu asks.
"Oh so now you're jealous? Now you know what it's like" Lo'ak says.

"What is this a competition? You're such a skxawng" Ni'awtu says.
"Me?" Lo'ak asks.
"Yes you" Ni'awtu replies.

"Tox" they hear a woman call out. Ni'awtu turns around and Lo'ak walks forward, standing next to her.
