Chapter 7

Ni'awtu walks out to find Lo'ak to say happy birthday to him, when she sees people who look like avatars but are completely different colour.
Tox and Ray walk to her, "they are the Metkayina's" Ray says.

"The sea people" Ni'awtu says.
Ray nods.
Ni'awtu walks to the crowd to see them. She sees the Chief of Metkayina, Tonowari and his wife Ronal.
Jake takes Tonowari and Ronal with him to their family tent, and there were a few hunters stood still outside.

Ni'awtu then looks to Lo'ak, seeing three Metkayina kids next to him.
Lo'ak spots Ni'awtu and calls out to her. She walks forward with Ray and Tox stood next to her.
"Guys this is a friend of mine" Lo'ak goes to stand next to Ni'awtu, "and these are her siblings."

"Hi, I'm Ni'awtu. This is Tox and Ray" Ni'awtu introduces herself and her brothers.
"Hi I'm Tsireya. This is my brother Aonung and our friend, Rotxo" Tsireya comes forward and introduces herself.

Ni'awtu smiled at Rotxo and then looks to Aonung.
She feels herself get slightly flustered as he smiles at her, "hey."
She smiles back and waves.
Ni'awtu then looks to Lo'ak, "happy birthday Lo'ak."
He smiles at her, ruffling the top of her head, "Thankyou."

"So you are going to train us?" Rotxo asks Ni'awtu as they're climbing to the top of a mountain.
"Yes. I've been doing this for years" Ni'awtu replies as she reaches the last step and stands up.
Ni'awtu looks down, seeing some of them still halfway.

She sighs and then looks to Rotxo, "you are quite fast for someone who is not a forest boy."
"What can I say. I'm a man with very many skills" Rotxo says.
Ni'awtu looks back down, seeing Lo'ak with Tsireya.
"Lo'ak is never this slow either" Ni'awtu says.

"He's probably helping her. A lot of us think that there's something going on between them two" Rotxo says.
"Oh really?" Ni'awtu seemed surprised, "she is very pretty."
"So are you" Aonung says with a smirk as he reaches to the top.

Ni'awtu looks at him, "me?"
"Well he isn't pretty is he?" Aonung asks, pointing to Rotxo.
"Hey" Rotxo slaps his hands away.
Ni'awtu laughs at them, shaking her head before turning the other way.

They walk through a cave before reaching the other side of the mountain. They want Ni'awtu as she makes a call to her Ikran and jumps on.
Rotxo and Aonung both look at each other and smirk, "that's so easy. What do we need training for?" Aonung asks.

"You think riding an Ikran is easy? Well you're in for a surprise" Ni'awtu says to them with a smirk.

"You all have an animal you have bonded with, right?" Ni'awtu asks.
They all nod.
"Well since you'll be here for a while, the way you travel is by learning to ride" Ni'awtu says.

She falls back off the cliff.
"Oh my gosh, why did she do that?" Tsireya looks shocked.
Ray laughs, "you are in for a surprise."
They hear Ni'awtu laugh as she's riding back up on an Ikran.

Lo'ak laughs and cheers, "go on Ni'awtu!"

"This is an Ikran. You will have to make a bond with one" she then points to her right. They all turn to see Ikran's on the edge of the cliff.
"I don't think I can do that" Tsireya says.
"Come on, you're not scared are you?" Ray says.

"Don't speak to her like that" Lo'ak says.
Ray puts his hands up, "I'm sorry. Didn't know you were dating."
"Will you guys pay attention" Ni'awtu says.
They turn to look at her.
"Aonung is the only one that's been listening to me" Ni'awtu says.

Aonung smiles, "I'm a good listener."
"Or is it because she's pretty?" Rotxo asks.
"Maybe both" Aonung teases and laughs with Rotxo and laughs.
Ni'awtu rolls her eyes, "so who wants to go first?"

Aonung walks forward, "just for you."
Lo'ak rolls his eyes.
Neteyam walks to Lo'ak, whispering to him, "what happened? You jealous?"
Lo'ak looks at his brother, "come on. Ni'awtu would not even look at him like that."
