"Where could he be? Knowing him, he could be anywhere in this cave." Alyut said to himself. He continued further in the cave while trying to think about where Sodis was. Then he heard a neigh.
It was Sodis's horse. Alyut was confused why it was left here.
"Still can't find me?" A voice said from behind.
When Alyut turned around, it was Sodis. He wasn't surprised, he expected him to show himself.
"You were always hard to find." Alyut commented.
"Lunaris was the master of hiding." Sodis added.
"But I didn't find you just to talk about our childhood." Alyut said while pulling out his sword.
"I know but, remember how we were? Before all of this? Before we were guardians? Do you remember when we were younger, we used to pretend that we were guardians. Now, here we are." Sodis said.
"What does that have to do with any of this? I do remember but it doesn't change the fact that you betrayed us. But, before you die I want to know one thing. What was your reason? Why did you suddenly betray the guardians?" Alyut questioned.
"If I told you, would you still kill me?" Sodis asked.
Alyut was silent for a bit, then he finally talked.
"I have to. Even if it's true." Alyut replied.
"You haven't changed. You were always so stubborn." Sodis said while pulling out his axes.
