Chapter - 14

We arrived at my house and the whole ride was filled with awkward silence. He looked infuriated but why? I thought he used to enjoy when someone makes fun of me.
"Sir, please come inside." I said as soon as the car stopped.
"No thanks, you should enjoy your birthday." he said without an expression.
"I am sorry for today." I said knowing that Sarah was provoked after she saw me with him.
"You don't need to apologize, you did nothing then why are you apologizing?" he looked at me.
"If it wasn't for me being there none of this would have happened." I sighed and he took my hand in his that had me super surprised.

"It has nothing to do with you but why didn't you said anything like last time?" he asked as he was gently holding my hand.
"It was a work related event and I didn't wanted to create a scene. It would've adversely affected the reputation of your company." I said
"It alright, you don't need to remain silent if someone is trying to bring you down okay?" he said and I nodded. Is he still the same person who used to annoy me coz right now I feel so much better with him.
"Thank you for today." I said and he smiled. For the first time he smiled at me.

How adorable he looks when he smiles the way his eyes disappears and how his cute cheeks form a little dimple on the corner of his mouth, is he even real?
"Done admiring me, Ms. Kim?" he said and I snapped out of it.
"Uh y-you should stay for dinner I guess since it's already late." I said he nodded.
"If you insist and since it's your birthday I can't even say no." he said with a sweet smile. He had this side of him as well?
"It's our birthday." I said and something was flashing before my eyes.
Our birthday? Feels like I said the same thing before but where.
"Let's go" he said opening the door for me. So he wasn't that bad as I thought.
I smiled at him and he smiled back. I don't know what's happening today but it feels so different.

We entered the house and it was decorated so beautifully and as soon as we entered the living room we heard a loud happy birthday.
"Mr. Park?" Dad asked looking confused.
"Oh it's his birthday as well so I asked him to join us today." I said and everyone greeted him as he bowed to everyone. Such a polite man he is but why am I admiring him so much.
I saw my friends were there as well and Ji-young was extremely shocked to see him.
During the dinner and cake cutting, my mean boss got along pretty well with everyone he's smiling and laughing, talking to everyone having fun he is actually a good person I guess but why do I feel a sting in my chest when I see him smiling.

I wore the black dress that Ji-young got me the other day and yeah it's a good fit for parties.
As soon as I entered the hall everyone looked at me and I literally hate unnecessary attention.
"Please continue with whatever you were doing." I said and everyone continued with there work leaving only my dad and Jimin still looking at me.
"Y/n-ah you look pretty as a doll but don't you think this outfit is a bit showy" dad said being protective.
"I am at home dad, it's not like something will happen at home." Dad nodded and still he was a little unsatisfied.

"Mr. Park, how about you stay here for today." mom suggested.
"Oh no it's alright ma'am, it will only cause you trouble." He said.
"Come on young man, it's already night and you'll be tired if you went home." Dad suggested and he nodded.
We did some more stuffs like playing and taking pictures and after that we were done.
All of us went to our rooms.
"Sir, if you need anything than please inform me." I said and he smiled again? He's so cute to me right now.
"You can call me Jimin since we aren't working and there isn't much of a age difference between us." he said and my heart was going crazy.

"I-I think I'll get going now." I said and he nodded.
I could feel his gaze when I was going upstairs to my room. I feel shy all of sudden, oh gosh.

It's been around 2 hours since I am trying to sleep but can't. The thoughts of Jungkook keeps popping up. I sighed and went towards the balcony to get some air.
I stared at the sky as billions of stars were shining bright. I looked at the yard and saw him I mean Ji-Jimin. He was talking to someone on a phone call. I hope it's not from that witch again. He spotted me and hung up the call.
I smiled when he waved at me. He went inside I guess he's just gonna sleep again.

After a minute I heard a knock on my door. I opened and saw him.
"What are you doing here?" I asked and he just entered my room.
"I assume you couldn't fall asleep so I came coz even I can't fall asleep." he said and I closed the door.
"It's already 12 you'll get tomorrow." I said and he sat on my bed.
"Forget it for a moment, let's chat for something." he said and I sat next to him.
"I saw you staring at the stars, do you like then that much?" he asked and I nodded.
"I feel comforted when I look at the sky" I said and he nodded.
"Umm Y/n, thank you for today. It was the first ever birthday I celebrated and I am sorry for my behavior towards you." he said with a nervous chuckle.
"It's alright and I should apologize too but why don't you celebrate your birthday?" I asked and he shrugged.

"No specific reason, I just never felt like celebrating it." he said and I nodded.
"So let's begin with being friends what do you say?" I asked and he smiled.
"Sure, I would love to." he said and I blushed a little.
"Let's get some fresh air." he said and got up.
I followed him but to my bad luck I tripped on the carpet and was about to fall but luckily Jimin held me. I was about to feel relieved but even he lost his balance and we both landed on my bed with him on top of me.
He was staring at me and I was staring at him. The moment felt so magical like we did it before and everything is happening all over again. We stayed like that for a brief moment until he said.

"Y/n, I have something to tell you."
